Really? I've thought he's looked quite average since coming back, to the point that he looks barely ahead of Jenkinson.
He's been on a bad patch of form this season - his first bad patch really since he joined us back in 2007 - but every player has a bad run of form, whether it's Ashley Cole or Dani Alves. It's understandable though, he had 2 serious leg breaks last year, and now his long-term future lies in the balance, so a drop in form is no coincidence.
Jenkinson is a top prospect, but he is nowhere near the level of Sagna in terms of ability, consistency or leadership. Look at Tevez' one-on-one yesterday that Sagna sorted out swiftly. It's a shame because many of our fans seem to take him for granted. We complain about players being disloyal, but can't repay back the loyal players like Sagna, who turned down Real Madrid in his prime to stay with us.
