as a united fan i am hoping for a bayern victory as they are likely the only team that can stop barca this season, barca-bayern in the next round would be ideal with bayern winning of course, however i do fancy arsenal to pull off a surprise win against the odds......

 ManU do not want another spanking from us..

i can totally feel you bro!!

I have respect fore the club and feel bad for their poor form...but I don't want them to progress lol. I would much rather Bayern advance and face some other European giants instead of Arsenal likely getting knocked out. Bayern have a good shot at the finals again.

IMO, it's gonna be Barca vs Bayern in the final. With Barca winning (obviously) :p

IT’S OFFICIAL: Arsenal has extended its contract with Trophy-less for one more season. Trophy-less who signed with Arsenal in August 2005 have spent 6 yrs at the club and is delighted with his contract extension. In an interview with Radio Arsenal, Trophy-less said, ”I am over the moon with this contract extension, and I hope to repay this club (Arsenal) with good displays. The fans and the coach believe in me that's why they extended this contract. I hope to stay here for many more seasons because I feel at home here. I want to end my career here. I know with d help of d coach (Wenger) and d support of the fans, I would achieve this

Really soft goals to concede. All 3 of them were sloppy. Our defence should've done much better. We've got an uphill task in Munich, we've got to restore some of our pride, like we did last season against Milan.

Nevertheless we have to focus on getting to the top 4.

Any big team can beat Barca this year. Madrid, Bayern, Man Utd, even Juventus.

Maybe 5th place will force the board to spend money. That lie they throw about every season, that Wenger has 50million+ to spend, is so bad it'd be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic. What clearly happens is they force him to sell players he doesn't want (he publicly said Nasri and RVP weren't for sale), then give him peanuts to buy replacements. Meanwhile they make millions every season, watch their investments grow.

Not entirely true. You have to consider the fact that we are still in financial debt due to the building of the stadium. No sugar daddy paid the cost, the club took out loans to fund it and until the loans are paid back we will have to make a profit almost every season.
There is money available to spend, true. However, Wenger knows he has to be extremely careful about who he goes out and buys for high prices. The money available isn't in abundance and if we splash out £50m on the wrong player, that's probably no more transfers for another 2 seasons. It's a risk too great to take, considering Wenger has taken some risks in the past and they haven't worked out (Reyes, Jeffers). There's always the possibility of a £50m signing missing a whole season through injury too. That would leave us in a very bad place.

I think regardless of the league finish they are going to spend money this summer, perhaps pick up Villa for around 10m, but of course there are other areas of concern like CB, DM, and winger.

You're right it will be decided in these next two matches. Arsenal need to win tomorrow vs Aston Villa (which should be easy, but with this Arsenal you never know) and as well the NLD. Hopefully they will score five again.
