Let's see how we handle the summer. The only silver lining to missing out on 4th place is that it's a wake up call. We've got everyone's contracts sorted and some money to spend in the summer window. What needs to happen is some action for once.

We need a disciplined defensive midfielder and a clinical striker. A lot of questions were raised of our defense, but it's not the back four's fault. Far too much space is open between the midfield and back line. We don't win midfield battles anymore, and concede almost every single time possession is lost there. It's like clockwork: one of the midfielders misplaces a pass, with the opponent seeing yards of space between him and the keeper. The rest writes itself.

hmmmm the faith is not there this season, when you have Oliver Giroud as your only real striker you know you're in the s**t.

And who's fault is that? That is why i laugh when i people say Wenger is a great manager, he's not, he's a manager living on his reputation from 10 years ago, a team that was largely inherited to him apart from maybe 2 WC French players Wenger brought in during in France's golden era (Vieira and Henry) and 1 very good one (Pires) - Thing is France's golden era is long gone, yet 80% of Wengers signings are still French or players playing in the French leagues and for all talk Arsenal having £60m to spend this summer, who the hell would trust Wenger with that sort of money? If i was a businessman or chairman no way would i give that man my hard earned cash to blow away, i've never known a 'so called' top manager to make so many big money flops.

For Arsenal to move on, Wenger needs to be shown the door.

Big blow to Arsenal's season if true. They can do without him on Wednesday though, it's not like he was going to single handedly lead Arsenal into the quarter finals + he's dropped a bit in recent weeks. Time for Rosicky and Chamberlain (is he alive? Or is he stuck on the FIFA 13 cover?) to step it up.

Sagna, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Wilshere and possibly Szczesny are injured. Not looking good but we have to give it our all for Wednesday.

Wait, Jenkinson is injured too? How are you going to lineup up defensively then? Maybe a 3-4-3 with an Arteta-Diaby-Cazorla-Rosicky midfield?

Coquelin will slot in at RB if Jenkinson is indeed out (which isn't confirmed, it's been circulating twitter).

Though reports suggest Gibbs could be back, but he isn't match fit.

Does this mean Bellerín gets to sit on the bench?

Great performance Arsenal, we go out with our heads held high.

So close last year, so close this year.
