He'd fit in like a glove IMO.

I don't trust Gazidis or the board to pull off a high profile transfer like that. Probably going to end up being another Juan Mata situation

Man United u21s vs Arsenal u21s yesterday (1-2). Bellerin won a penalty (@1:55) and scored the winning goal with a volley (@3:20)

We need Arsene Wenger to resign more than anything.

there you go, i fixed your opening line. players come and go, but it's all about the three A's: attitude, ambition, and ability. none of these can flourish under the professor any longer, doesn't matter that they once did. time to move on, and until arsenal fans understand this, whoever you buy will not bring you the success you crave.

Could i ask Arsenal fans:

Do you think that anyone other than Wenger would have been allowed so many years trophyless?
Do Arsenal have the transfer fund the media believe then to have?
Why does Wenger seem reticent to spend it?

i'll be shocked if jovetic ends up at arsenal, he surely has better options, arsenal may not even reach CL for next season...i found those quotes from the agent about jovetic's fascination with the project at arsenal quite funny, what exactly is arsenal's project, finishing 4th every season and balancing the books?

2007-08 was the last season we were legitimately title challengers. Every summer you'd have heard Arsenal banging on about having this massive war chest, but the numbers don't lie. The truth is obvious; the board have been lining their pockets while giving Wenger next to nothing to work with. He admitted last year that he is forced to sell a big player every year. Can you honestly name a single manager who could get into the top 4 every season and dismantle his squad every year?

Name any winning manager, and then look at how much they were given to work with. The only one I can think of that is doing remotely well while spending almost nothing is Moyes, and he hasn't won anything either.

What makes more sense to you: that Wenger who won loads of titles during the Adams and Henry eras, suddenly decided he'd rather win the "financial bragging rights" league? Or that we have a board of greedy old men who would much rather watch their stock portfolios rise than make the fans happy?

Thanks for this; great assessment IMO.

What Wenger has done for Arsenal over the years especially with the move to the Emirates etc. has been quite extraordinary. I dont think that there are many managers that could consistantly keep Arsenal in the top 4 given the constraints put on him.

Some of the football they have played over the years was exhilerating. But you cant lose players like Cesc/Nasri/RvPin a short period and aim to be the best in the EPL

His 35th injury in his Arsenal career. No joke. :(

Apparently he even went to Mecca to pray for his injuries to end.
