Why the sudden rant against Arsenal? All clubs that make a loss should be kicked out imo.

So, 'plastic' trophies or not winning a thing? I know what I'd want.

Arsenal really need to buck up or they'll never win anything again.

The last 10 years from a footballing perspective is just a blink of an eye. We needed to build a new stadium and we didn't have an oil billionaire to prop us up. Everything we've done as a club came from our own hard work, and if it takes a decade of no trophies, so be it.

I don't for a moment think that Chelsea's trophies are plastic. However, it's a bit pathetic to go on an Arsenal thread wind us up after your owner pretty much bought them for you. Where would Chelsea be if they didn't have Roman and tried to finance a new stadium on their own?

We'd probably be nowhere, I won't shy away from that, but the fact of the matter is we've been bought and are now secure.

The reason I hang shit on Arsenal is cause I actually don't hate them(that goes to Tottenham), they are always a pretty good side but they really should be much better, but somehow they just manage to never live up to what they could. I much preferred the days where Arsenal were one of the 3 best clubs in the country to having City being one now, or having Liverpool/Tottenham being anywhere near the top 4, though the former hasn't really been there lately, thankfully, and unfortunately it doesn't look like Tottenham will piss off. I'd probably prefer to see Liverpool top them for 5th, heh.

I don't know, is it Wenger holding the side back? Or are the board the lame ones holding him back? It's not like Wenger can't win titles, he's proved it before, but Arsenal just haven't been Arsenal for so long. Obviously me hanging shit on them doesn't help, but I can't help but express my disappointment either, lol.

I think they are paying off stadium debts and other expenses and just trying to earn a profit and earn top four finishes until they are financially "all clear" to spend money and go for the title once more.

Similar to bayern after they built the Allianz, on a more extreme level ( arsenal spent more on the emirates) arsenal have to be especially tight with cash for longer which is why they've had no success as opposed to bayern who reached cl finals and won the bundesliga in amongst their relatively shit times

While at the same time the board shoved blame on Wenger saying he has cash to spend but he isn't. Not saying it's Wenger's fault, btw. Maybe the board need to give themselves some false sense of security, lol.

If Arsenal can be Arsenal again sometimes soon, I look forward to it, though it seems City will always be up near the top now. Boo. That said, I prefer the top 4 sides to be 2 from Manchester and 2 from London excluding Spuds, than a team from the red part of Merseyside. ;)

You're right there. God I hate Liverpool. At least city are interesting and somewhat likeable with pellegrini and their new players. I'd like united in the top four just because they are a traditional club although I prefer them not to win. I secretly like mourinho and want Chelsea in there as the title race is a lot more interesting with that scenario. Lastly I want arsenal in the top four as they are my favourite English club, even though I don't really care either way.

Wenger is right though. Even if he now finally has cash he shouldn't just throw it away. Maybe next season if players are available he can pull the trigger and start building a title challenging team.

Oh he should make some smart buys, but he should hurry a bit, all the good talent is being snapped up real quick!

Word is he's bidding €49m for Suarez, though. Could buy 3 or 4 solid players for that much.

Arsenal have enough "solid players". Thats why they only come in top 4. They need world class players to win trophies. For that you need to splash the cash.

Let's see where this goes. Liverpool have Danny Studge for goals and with that money, hopefully make another Andy Carroll signing.

Listen to this guy Arsene. Making expensive high profile signings is not the way to go, buy 4 players for 10m each instead! Atleast that's the way Chelsea do it xd!!
