Arsenal

Which is fair enough don't you think. They can agree terms with Suarez but don't make insulting bids like £40m plus a pound. Arsenal made a rods for their own back with that offer.

Insulting? You forgetting Suarez's disciplinary record and reputation? £30m is a fair price for Suarez. £40m is the absolute maximum he should cost. It's insulting, as well as greedy, for Liverpool to refuse.

Really hope we pull off signing Suarez. All are eggs are in this one basket now Higuain is virtually a Napoli player.

After all the talk of being able to afford big transfers we have to follow through and make them happen.

I've already accepted the fact that we're getting nobody this summer. Madrid are obviously biding their time, and will make an offer soon.

you should take this one step further and demand better from your leadership. i have been saying this for several years. arsenal leadership is insulting to their fanbase by teasing them with this player and that player, but at the end its just a ruse that your fans keep falling for. what stopped you from bidding 40 million for higuain, the price napoli paid for the player? you can say oh he doesn't cost that much, but beggars cannot be choosers, and in the transfer market, arsenal are beggars. in the past 5-6 years, all you have done is sell top player after top player, and fail to replace them. now every club knows how desperate you are for a top player, and each team will play hardball. you waited and waited and your target went elsewhere, and same thing will happen with suarez. meanwhile, wenger keeps coming out with idiotic statements like "we can win the league with this squad" lol give me a break.

rooney is on the market, suarez is on the market, higuain was on the market, villa went for nothing, the list goes on and on. meanwhile arsenal are twiddling their thumbs, and fans keep chanting "in wenger we trust" lol

We had a squad capable of winning the league in 2007, but selfish and greedy players and their agents (i.e. Darren Dein) ruined it. We're bidding all this crazy money because a world class striker would complete our squad. If RVP had stayed (keep in mind we already signed Cazorla, etc before his letter) we could have done something great.

We actually DO have money now, and have been trying to spend it. In an ironic twist of fate, this also coincided with Monaco and PSG wrecking the transfer market this summer. 40m is a laughable amount now, eh? Used to be considered jaw dropping a mere season ago. I don't fault Wenger or the board this time, but at least we kept every single first team player. This season will be better than the last regardless of who we sign, but it could have been so much better.

I never realised before how much Arsenal is loved by fans of rival clubs. Glancing over at the home page it says 'Most users ever online was 1,679, 6th April 2010 at 09:59 PM', the date of Barcelona vs Arsenal, when Barcelona won 4-1.

Tottenham have strenghtened themselfs Arsenal haven't

Last season, Wilshere was out for most of it, our entire midfield was "new" and had to gel, Giroud was getting used to a new league/country, and Podolski was carrying an ankle injury all season that required surgery. We also have had the best defense record in the league after January, when Koscielny replaced Vermaelen permanently.

We've strengthened without making signings. I think we'll do much better than before, but without Suarez we won't win shit.

Ahh, yes the old "players coming back from injury is like a new signing slogan" ;). Seriously though, Arsenal will always be wrecked by injuries I have no reason believe that next season won't be the same. Players like Wilshire and Diaby have probably spent more time in hospital than on training pitch. I do think they will get 4th but barely and yes I don't think you will win anything. Really don't see why Arsenal are so desperately after Suarez, yeah he is a big upgrade on Giroud but if they don't want to overpay then just upgrade your defensive midfield or goalkeeper. Wenger hasn't done that either which is even more worrying, because I am pretty sure 5-6m GBP can buy a better keeper than Lord Chesney. Really some players in that Squad are getting older so the Squad could use some investment.
