It's baffling that after all these years they still haven't signed a defensive minded midfield player. Every single person in football except Wenger seems to recognise it as their obvious weakness.

The problem is up front. You can't say Welbeck hasn't been getting the service, he has missed 4 sitters in 2 games. He's new to the club so he can be given the benefit of the doubt.

I know it's early days, but how have Arsenal fans in general taken to Welbeck?.. I know he's missed some sitters, but he seems to be getting himself in the positions which is something I suppose.

The Arsenal defense did well to hold Dortmund to two. Dortmund would have beaten any Premier League team yesterday, that was quite a performance they put on. Playing like that, you can win the Champions League.

You mean the Dortmund attack did well not to embarrass Arsenal further. Not sure the defence can be applauded when the opposition gets over 20 shots away

It was directly in the middle of the goal, i know it swerved a bit but damn i thought it was gonna be way better than that when i heard people describe it

Better than losing to MK Dons, but still sucks to be out this early. Probably our last realistic chance of silverware this season, barring another FA Cup
