He will improve, i agree. I am Just saying that i expect a Lot more.

He still has to be polished for the big leagues, but the important thing is that he essentially offers something rare and treasured in can Barca. He knows how to receive the ball in good positions, he never loses it, and he always gives a good pass. We have players who can be more decisive than him if necessary, and though I would hope Arthur is more than just a link up option (I know he is), for now I am content with what I see. He looks a little older than he is, but remember he is only 21. With a little bit of patience and time he'll turn into a pearl.

Too many people here seem to be desperate to see what is wrong with him just to stomp on a promising player

LOL

Go to the first page of this topic and see the second post. Who is the second user to bring this player here? Its me. I almost created this topic. I like him, i think that Arthur is Brazil's future (i am brazilian).

I'm starting to think that you guys that cant accept any criticism over a player that the majority likes

Very exciting player. Will become a fan favourite at Camp Nou.

At the moment he's playing like Xavi 13/14 when you'd pull your hair because he wouldnt make the forward pass. He needs to let loose like Xavi did 14/15 and forget about the pass percentage.

What's the criticism?

Usual nonsense. People here are too demanding & nitpicking. Guy has just landed in new country, new league, new system and new teammates.

Scored a debut goal on his debut, played a good game, not bad at all in second game aswell.

But no, he needs to match the prime Xavi, even if its his 2nd pre season game and he is 21.

Calm down guys. I was the one saying that he needs to take more risks and a i like him. You guys are overreacting about something so small... I didn't said that he is done here. I know that he will develop, i am just pointing something.

anyway, look at this guys:

He has looked very good in the minutes he has featured. Passing it around well, seems to be quite vocal and can get away from a couple of players with a great first touch.

This is right on the money:

When he's surrounded by a set of better talents is when we'll realize how great of a facilitator he is. Even when he's "playing it safe" the cohesion and omnipresence a player like this offers is priceless.

Between Busquets, Coutinho, Messi, Dembele and even Rakitic, we probably have more creativity than any other team in the world to make those progressive plays. The games we lost last season were hardly because we lacked someone who could play the key pass. It's because we never got to that point of the attack. Someone like Arthur is exactly what we need right now.

And while on the subject, I just watched his performance and I counted maybe one or two times that I thought he could have chosen a more offensive pass than he did. When he did pick the progressive option, he did it with timing and precision. There's no reason to believe that he can't make the pass when it matters.

Arthur was very good. I liked that - little by little - we're seeing more and more of his game, this time it was his turning and swiveling on the ball. He's very press resistant and his passing is very crisp.
