Was a question of time before he became more adventurous and took greater risks offensively. Helps when you play alongside the likes of FDJ and Griezmann who are constantly moving and not losing possession tons of times as certain other favorites of Malmierda.

Very happy with his development so far and hope to see him carry this improvement through the rest of the season.

The usual suspects will flame me for this post despite me giving credit where credit is due, but keep in my mind you can only judge players based on what they show you.

I would still stand by my previous assessment of Arthur if he was still performing at last season's level.

He looks like a different player so far and still needs do this consistently to completely win me over, but this is definitely a good start.

This performance is just another stick into BBZ wheel of thought that makes Arthur and FDJ somehow incompatible, residing in the same space or some shit. They complement each other the same way as Xavi and Iniesta did. When two players are so good on the ball and passing quality, they don't need muh 2m tall workhorse stud to help out the schoolboys. They are constantly moving and creating spaces for everyone around both with and without the ball and are quite the horses themselves. No wonder Busi actually looked fine this game for the most part. And i don't see any significant tactical changes from Ernie. Just two playas balling.

messi pulls a lot of players into the center, leaving little gaps for arthur to run. with griezman and wingers the defense is more stretched and less concerned with the center

Displayed the class that almost everyone has credited him with for a long time now.
He seems quicker and more adventurous too this year. Bad games may come, but it's obvious that him and FDJ will have a place at the future of this team.

BBZ is all about statistics. I think he never touched a ball himself.
Arthur once again showed how important he is for us to get control over midfield.

Will be interesting to see if Arthur and De Jong can play out of that press or if they will fail as we previously did.
