Stories about Arthur partying are present for some time now and would explain a lot especially his low stamina and Valverde benching him so frequently during the last couple of weeks. I sincerely hope that's not true but if it is we should get rid of him ASAP. We should have ZERO tolerance for that stuff. You know what they say, where there is smoke there is fire...

3-4 weeks ago, I was watching La Liga match on a Tv and was reading match chat here so I wasn't 100% focused on what a commentator was saying.
But he talked about a 2nd incident and how EV was angry at Arthur.
The first incident this season was partying with Neymar.
And the 2nd one was something with some pics which Arthur posted on Instagram or similar, when he was supposed to be at his home resting for the upcoming match, but he was out at 3AM with his friends and posting pics of his night out on social media.
Something like that...

Regarding stamina or off field problems, here is a comparison between 2 young midfielders, Frenkie and Arthur and how much they have played under EV lately:

Someone on another forum said some source on Catalonian radio claimed Arthur is living an unhealthy lifestyle, clubs a lot and consumes drugs. Barcelona can’t use him as he wouldn’t pass the doping tests.

The drug part is some heavy bullshit.. If he were he wouldnt be on the bench be cause bench players are also susceptible to take drug tests.

1. He is Catalan. Catalonia is on a verge of a war with Spain. Pique is a symbol of Catalonia and was always trolling Spain/Madrid/Ramos and everything.
So, in rocky political times, Pique means way more to Catalonia than just being a footballer.
They need his presence, they need him here.
Politics and Catalonia are more important than defensive errors in this moment.
My country had a war in 90s, and we had our own symbols and Piques, who later overstayed even for 5 years or more. But they had to play due to past achievements, political points and emotions.

Arthur coud be in the same problems soon.

This makes not much sense to me. If we assume that Rakitic has played now because he is whining, why is Vidal the next one in line who gets subbed in? You can't convince me that we have a coach who purposefully benches his intended starting midfielder for good and for games in a row because another one on the transfer list is unhappy. The treatment he gets now is a routine disciplinary treatment.

I wouldn't say this is a "disciplinary treatment" as we really have no evidence for this.

EV has a long history of weird lineup choices. Starting from Semedo last season and continuing to Alena and Arthur this season.
Vidal was subbed in because the way EV thinks, he is better defensively than Arthur and his plan was to defend for the last 30 minutes. This backfired of course when vidal couldn't make a simple 5m pass and we conceded too much pressure.

I am not trying to convince anyone that "we have a coach who purposefully benches his intended starting midfielder for good and for games in a row because another one on the transfer list is unhappy". I am saying that we have a coach with really weird lineup choices and should wait before jumping to conclusions about certain players.

In all other cases, EV wasn't making weird choices but just hasn't played young, overrated forum favorites like Dembele, Malcom, Arthur, Alena, Puig, Mina, Todibo, Wague.

Regarding what Observer said about new gen of players, Lewandowski said a few weeks ago that new kids at Bayern are different than his generation.
They aren't leaders. And aren't fighting as hard as players 10-20 years ago.

That could be a problem in the future.
These new kids get too rich too soon, aged 20.

One good example of weird lineup selection is the Liverpool return leg. Because EV himself corrected his mistakes in Camp Nou and subbed on Semedo instead of Coutinho, as he moved Sergi at the midfield.

Then he goes at Anfield and fields the same starting lineup that got molested at Camp Nou (until the changes) and still leaves Arthur out of the game. Mind boggling stuff.
This season he starts Alena for the first league game, subs him of at half time and NEVER plays him again. Ever. Like he had some kind of unrecoverable disaster game. Which he didn't. He tried Alena and Roberto in midfield.

But over time, he is returning to roots.
