Thiago showed plenty of promise when he was at Barca just unfortunate that Xavi and Iniesta were there. He's now a worldclass midfielder at a massive club....

That is where you are wrong. He is not "world class". Read the post again where I talk about "realism".

Thiago was and never will be World class. dear or dear.

I beg to differ, their midfield with Kimmich and Thiago functions better than any other combination. His downside is his injury record. But when fit he's world class.

I don't understand this absurd exchange with Pjanic.
Italian rumors say that the deal is done and the two boards just wait for the player's confirmation.

Too many injuries?
Some problems we don't know?
Does board want to earn money to buy Lautaro?

We need Money fast or we are screwed. Noone wants Vidal , Rakitic and other deadwood. We need to sell valuable players

That's true. However, we are making even more problems with this transfer in our aging side, especially where we don't need them (midfield).

We are still owners of Coutinho's rights and Griezmann's rights, so we should start there IMO. Even if we sell for 40 million loss.

Two reasons:
Barto doesn't give a shit about Bar?a longterm. He wants to make it as hard as possible for the new board. Rakitic 2.0 will be just another player with high wages and no resale value.

They desperately need money to balance the books and selling Arthur while having Pjanic as a new asset worth about 70M will help a lot since no one will buy our deadwood.

He's doesn't really offer much against La Liga teams who mostly sit back against Barca.

He's had some good performances in the CL against teams who are willing to press and go at Barca, where Arthur's press resistance and recirculation of the ball shines through.
