I honestly cannot wait to see midfield combinations like:

----Busi----
Vidal--Cou

or

----Raki----
Vidal--Cou

or if Coutinho plays in a more attacking position:

----Busi----
Vidal--Arthur

or

----Raki----
Vidal--Arthur

And if we decide to play a 4 man mid could slot Roberto into those combinations as well.

FFSsss we have unreal variations in midfield. Exciting times.

I agree but Valverde is such a dimwit he will probably play some daft formation. The squad this season is strong and Valverde has no excuses.

I think he'll end up a fan favourite kinda like Paulinho, i just hope he plays with his trademark intensity and not down the lazy Arda route

what an amazing summer we've had, i love to bitch about the board but they did a masterclass, selling Yerry and Gomes would be the icing on the cake.

Finally, a midfield worthy of Barcelona standards. A lot is made about attackers and defenders but almost every CL winning team in the last 10-15 years has had the strongest midfield in the world that season. Inter 09-10 and Chelsea 11-12 are the only exceptions.

You're welcome
It's ironic how people mentioned the downfall of Barca last summer but a year later we might actually be the strongest team out there.
Think we could bag another treble coming season. Yes yes...I know it's quite pre-emptive to put it out there.

in summer 2015, we were on top of the world with a treble and an unstoppable strike force.

8 months later, we hit a wall because of the transfer ban and madrid got lucky versus wolfburg and started their 3 peat.

and less than 12 months ago, we were obliterated by madrid in the super cup and now stand stronger than them without a shadow of a doubt.

basically, long winded way of saying a year is an eternity in football.

I truly believe that we have the squad to have another treble. What we really need now is luck, sensible thinking from EV and belief whenever we are a goal down in a CL knockout match.

I remember everyone here freaking out after we lost to Madrid at the Camp Nou for the supercup.
I watched the game and found myself smiling b.c I understood we we're the better team. I saw us lose that game, but we were the better team, and that was one of the first Valverde games with Barca.
I knew we just had to weather the storm.
Let's hope luck is on our side this season and we can win the CL this season.

I find it surprising that Real have been quite passive in market. I thought they'd get a big signing for sure. Someone like Lewandowski Hazard or even Neymar.
