Arturo Vidal

This guy is what I call a fucking workhorse ! Crazy amount of tackles, ball recoveries and defensive presence, plus he makes his presence felt in attack. This guy is a better version of what Rakitic used to be in 2014/2015. Actual Rakitic is just staying behind, nowhere to be seen offensively, a deep sitting backpass merchant. Rakitic needs to be dropped, he's useless in the starting 11 in our current team. Starting midfield needs to be Vidal/Coutinho-Arthur/Coutinho-Busquets.

Vidal is twice the player Rakitic is. Tremendous intensity, technically solid and positional sense both offense and defense. Love this player. I wanted him back when he was creating havoc with Juve. We will ALWAYS need a player like this no matter what style we play.

What a great transfer has he turned out to be, our best midfielder. With him in the first team there is hope for the CL after all. The coward just has to drop one of Raki or Busi and this team could be great.

Really good game yet again...brings so much to our squad which everyone else seem to lack..yet with the current manager will be back to the bench once again

he does the Rakitic "babysitting" role that he does for Messi so much better than Rakitic does. Vidal has to be a starter

Just dropping a reminder that he was the star midfielder in Juve's quartet that beat RM in 14/15 - Their only KO loss in last 5 seasons.

Need a midfield of Arturo, Arthur, and Busquets (he's not impressing me lately but has been too much of a pivotal player in our system to be discarded before Rakitic) to stand a chance in the CL.

MF Arturo Vidal, 6 -- Another all-action performance in the middle. He has done well while Arthur has been injured but it is hard to see how he keeps his place when everyone is fit.

MF Ivan Rakitic, 6 -- Read the game well and made a number of interceptions to set off attacks. Came off in the second half for a much-needed rest, given he has been one of Barca's most-used players this season.

I dont know really.
Sure he runs and preassures without the ball, which is nice to see.
But for me, its more important what you do when you actually hold the ball.
He feels like a better version of Paulinho.
