You shouldn't be so strict with others but let's move on.
The point was about Barcelona and not other clubs.
So, for Barcelona, he was never a better player. I don't care about previous clubs. I see the kind of player Vidal has been, and he would never fit us, not even at his best. Rakitic has also been world class for Sevilla and Croatia, but I don't care about that.

Hes not, but neither is Vidal. The one thing he has going for him are his goal contributions, but apart from that hes atrocious - he has no presence in midfield at all.
I dont know if Busquets/Rakitic/Puig or Busquets/Rakitic/Vidal looks worse, but with Puig theres at least some technical quality in there. Both lineups wont be the reason we win things.

This. Who is replacing Vidal's experience and instant impact as a sub for the second half of the season if Vidal goes. Puig is not that type of player and is replacing Alena if anyone. Or do we go back in for the Chinese Dragon for half a season.
Only deal that makes sense off the top of my head is Eriksen for Vidal (+Raki going in the summer). If it is Olmo then we are dead.

Not that Rakitic-Busquets-Vidal is a sight to behold. And I wouldnt call him dynamic, or intense, or whatever. He looks as washed up as Rakitic. One of them gone is a win in my book if replaced - even with someone like Olmo.

What is with all the hate for Vidal? Is he Xavi? No. Is he Iniesta? No. But that doesn't mean he isn't a good player. He provides the muscle and rough tackles we need. De Jong and Rakitic sure as hell aren't going to provide them.

Exactly. All these youngsters like Puig, Arthur and De Jong are pretty soft. Vidal is not a perfect fit for Barca but he brings something different.
He has actually brought alot as an impact sub when we are struggling. Alot of opposition players are actually wary of him especially Real Madrid 😂
