Are you serious?? Thiago?? The true heir to Xavi? With him still in the squad who knows where would we be now...

Also, Fati and Puig could very well leave after this upcoming season if Koeman gives them the same treatment that Valverde and Setien did. They are talented.

Not only this, but not relying on La Masia sends the wrong message to the kids in our academy. A prospective talent could very well go to the PSG academy or another academy if he feels like La Masia doesn't lead to any chances in the first team. Pep was a master of integrating all available La Masia youth to the first team. Remember Cuenca? Remember Tello? Cuenca played in the CL semis in 2012 and Tello went on to become an integral part of the 12/13 la liga winning side.

Yes, not all of them will turn into Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, or even S.Roberto, but some minutes in first team matches needs to be given to them or at least incorporate them more into matches where we are winning 3-0 or 4-0 with only 10-15 mins left in the match. No one really knows how good these youth players are until they are given minutes.

What? Thiago decided to leave because he didn't want to wait for Xavi and Iniesta to decline. Also, he was used in first team.

Still waiting what did we miss out on by not focusing on La Masia products

False rumor spread by the Rossell propaganda machine. He had a clause in his contract that stated if he played a certain amount of matches, his release clause would shoot up to a certain amount (I believe it was 90 mil euros if the match clause was met, a huge fee back in 2013). Tito Vilanova/Jordi Roura did not play him that amount of matches, opting to play one Cesc, Xavi, and Iniesta in almost every match and Thiago coming on as a sub here and there.

He was pissed (rightly so since he was clearly better than Cesc) and left to Bayern for 18 mil euros. Neither of those two coaches had much confidence in him to even play him the minimum amount of matches to meet that clause. I believe he only had 1 or 2 more matches to play too.

Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano -
Arturo Vidal agents are now in talks with Barcelona board to leave the club for free on this summer. Inter are waiting and still ready to make a contract bid - leading the race to sign Vidal, he?s the priority as midfielder for Conte. @SkySport@LucaMarchetti

Why Italian clubs are so cheap when they are buying yet ask for so much when they sell? What price theory did they study at school? whatever, it has nothing to do with supply and demand to determine the appropriate price point.

The theory that fc Barcelona is a fool in the market and will get dicked by anyone including MLS

To add to this, Thiago time at Bayern has been marked by numerous injuries. When he plays he is brilliant, but for a good few years it was stop-start with long periods out. Always been a massive Thiago fanboy but the injuries have prevented him from fulfilling his potential, we would not have been able to rely on him as the main man in our midfield over a consistent period of time. Bayern have signed countless midfielders over the past 7/8 years which have somewhat negated that situation, but the point remains.

He had to leave the club for himself, which is fine, but based on how it has turned out over the past 6/7 years I dont think we should be too disappointed that we sold him.

We lost Thiago for peanuts because we didn't play him for TWO FUCKING USELESS MATCHES. This says it all about how incompetent Rosell and Barto are. These two should perpetually stay in jail.
