Atlético Madrid

In Lucho we trust!
We play them on the 11/12th Jan. Not a great time to play them as we will only have had one game (Elche) after the Christmas break. We might have a fully fit Messi back by then, which is a comfort.

I watched them against Valencia. Djukic's side wasn't that bad but from the moment Atletico turned up the pace in the 2nd half, they were over.
Furthermore, Simeone's side didn't even allow a shot on target if I remember correctly.
Diego Costa is simply a beast. If he can fit in Spain's 11, there'll be no way of stopping del Bosque from his 2nd World Cup.

I fear them, specially Simeone. Such passion and intensity. He´s a natural born leader. There are few of them. Tata lacks intensity.

I agree. Simeone is a true leader of men. He kind of reminds me of Mourinho in that he gets his players to fight every match for him.

He is of the same mold for sure. I remember during the super cup games their players were always fouling us.

I'd argue this probably the best time to play them, after the holiday break, they might be sluggish getting back into rhythm.

And so are we. our team is also getting back into rhythm from holidays. This is also an away game for us. Remember that, Atletico is undefeated at their home stadium and they are very strong.
