Did you ever see him play? I have seen him years ago in Germany where he failed big time. Granted he played on the left side but his displays for Bremen did show that Abdennour is weak with the ball on his feet.
Last season I have seen him play 5 times (5 complete matches, not counting highlights) I think. 1 CL match and 4 Ligue 1 matches if I remember correctly. Like I said I do not like his positioning at all which would make him look silly in our high line. That is one of Mathieu's weaknesses too imo but he is still better than Abdennour in that aspect.

I do not know how in the world the club decided to go for him (if rumours are true).

MD are saying we'll only sign him if Bartra leaves. Looks like the deal is off then.

Barcelona want to sign a centre back. Monaco's Aymen Abdennour (25) is first option, Tottenham's Jan Vertonghen (28) is alternative. [sport]

Went from being "We are not interested anymore to" "Barcelona wants to sign a CB and Abdennour is 1st choice" back to "Well we aren't interested anymore" and again "We need to sign another Center back" lol wut.

We don't need a CB for now. Have to see if bartra steps up, if he doesn't we will need one. Masch and Mathieu are getting old and vermaelen is well vermaelen.

I can see why Lucho would go for him. He is strong,fit and won't be bullied off the ball. This is where Batra has failed to impress. He gets bullied, loses confidence and goes into his shell. Lucho knows that players will make mistakes but he hates physical and mental weakness.

Can see Cesc, Pepe Reina, Vin Diesel, Alex and Xavi depending on the picture.
