You know there's an international break when you see covers like these

Yeah, because you would rather go to Man City than the best team in the World, especially when you're doing everything in your power to reach the French NT.

Many players today prefer the fatter pay check more than anything else. Not saying that is the case with Laporte, but it is possible. Also, not sure how it will work out if the player prefers joining team A when team B and C came up with more money, would the selling club typically respect the player's wish or they just sell the player to the highest bidder?

I think it is pretty clear that we no longer hold the financial sway/advantage when it comes to transfer fees.

Last but not least, there is the Guardiola factor. It is said that many players are attracted to him.

I'm not buying into spanish newspapers.

I think Spanish media outlets are certainly not as good as Kicker and Di Marzio but they are better than the English ones when it comes to credibility. I believe MARCA was the one that first broke the transfer of Toni Kroos to Real Madrid from Bayern?

Well Pep is planning to stay at least 3 years so fixing the defence in the first year wouldn't be a bad move. Targets: Laporte,Stones,Pogba,Isco.

In germany we have a saying "Auch ein blindes Huhn findet mal ein Korn."
With all the rumors they've been spitting over the years, there just had to be one that actually came true.

Yeah. But it looks like the powerful City vacuum machine is turning on its full force to suck in many good players, including some of our own targets, unfortunately.

Poor kid.
The talk on Twitter is a probable broken ankle. Is there any chance it wasn't that bad? I mean, back when Ujfalusi stomped Messi on the ankle, it could've easily looked like a much, much more severe injury that it was.

...and no, I'm not going to watch the clip for myself.
