Aymeric Laporte

He's not worth 36m, but let's face it, these days, hardly any player is worth his price. I'd be fine with getting him. Better than spending it on Luiz at least.

Guerrero just said on Tele Bilbao... "Txiki Begiristain told me they can not sign Laporte because it has contract agreement with Barca."

36M is too much for him. He is a rising player, but paying for promise is a slippery slope.

I think the same but have seen some quick players take him to the cleaners this season.

Sergio Garcia at Espanyol dragged him all over the place and taught him a bit of a lesson. That put me off a bit.

Maybe their new stadium is costing more than expected and forced to sell?

Also I am sure the local government has this year stopped giving them around 10m a season. Maybe not the same position to be so hard to deal with at moment.

Pure guesses but they are not usually this easy to deal with.

Isn't 36m his buyout clause? Which means we're not dealing with them, just paying his buyout clause. If this is true, of course.

There is nothing more confusing than the LIGA BBVA clubs release clause rules.

No they didnt accept that with Martinez and Bayern had to pay above that for tax to get him.

Bayern had to give the money to Javi Martinez who paid out his clause himself, that way Atheltic had no choice. Of course in return Bayern had to pay all the taxes, but then again Martinez took a pay-cut which helped the case.
