You can usually extract some positves even from these pre season friendlies, like a new transfer having a good game or some attacking patterns worked in training. Not with us these first 2 matches. Absolutely nothing encouraging going forward from the big nosed fraud and these players.

First half highlights were basically Iniesta plus a few flashes from Villa .

Iniesta could still start for us so I’ve no idea why we ever let him ( or Xavi ) go . They could have been phased out then added to the coaching staff .


Anyways.. second half and FDJ comes on -hopefully Rakitic is in the changing room
