Barca Transfers and Rumors

I hope we stay calm and sign players that we need, not just stars. We have to respond to Madrid with good signing and results. But with this board I think that would be second one.

RM winning the CL last year should have been the wake up call. While Madrid have created one of the most effective teams ever.. with a world class functional midfield and world class bench.

While we signed players like Gomes, Arda, Vidal, Denis, Paco etc none of these players would get on the bench at Madrid.

Bartomeu has been an absolute failure as a president, MSN won us the treble, this is one of the most dysfunctional Barca's ever.

Why are we not seeing Gomes and co being sold? I expect another season of failures with Messi bailing us out a lot but he can't do it by himself.

Buy two world class midfielders along side Busi and a RB then we can compete again.

we obviously need major improvements, especially after madrid defended cl title, but with what are we going to get them?i read that we have 80 millions to spend plus money from selling players, that is a joke compared to real, bayern, juventus and i won't even mention premier league clubs
if it's correct just semedo would cost 50 millions, half of our estimated budget gone
and god help us if we are planning to pump more money from selling players,we sold big name players like fabregas and sanchez for about 40 millions while real are closing tha sale of morata for 60 millions ffs
and also ozil, wtf?how can he even be an option?

Weren't we the club that earned most last year, and club that could reach 1 billion first? I don't get it how we always seem so much poorer than RM for example?

I think it's the wage bill.

Still, shouldn't we be getting a shit ton of money from the Rakuten deal? Or is the wage bill that high?

We aren´t poorer then RM and neither is our wage bill that much higher. But they sell well.

That's very true. They get their share of flops but they even sell those well.

Bale's injured half the time and they'd probably make a profit on him if they were to sell him. They're way better negotiators than we are, at least when it comes to selling.

Had they "beat" us to Gomes, I guarantee you they'd somehow sell him for 40 million.

We do have highest wage bill but not by a mile, yet RM seems to have endless amoutn of money and still comply with FFP, like Mbape is 200 mils, fine, here you go.
Also the same wage bill, do we have such incompetent negotiators? I mean they keep Isco happy with mediocre wage and we offer small fortune for freaking Arda

Yes. The pay lower wages (not by much, but not by very little either), they don't lose a lot of money on players even if they don't keep them, they get a lot of money from CL for winning it, while we seem to be exiting too often in QF. These things add up.

How much money Madrid have got from CL in the past two seasons, compared to us for example?

Well reaching semis gives 7M more and winning the final gives 15M.So the past 2 seasons would make it around 45M.

Just did the math. They have won about 50m. more in CL alone than us in the last two seasons. Add to that the good deals they've made with players (Higuain sale, Ozil sale, Di Maria sale, soon the Morata sale, Jesse sale etc. are bigger than our transfer sums regarding the sale of players). We sell cheap, and buy expensive. They sell expensive and buy expensive, and on top of that, pay lower salaries and have more income than us, both from sponsors (I think) and from UEFA.

This all adds up. They have more money than we do because they use it better.
