Barca Transfers and Rumors

We should already be way ahead of RM with the type of quality we have had coming from La Masia. Its inexcusable that we have been so poor in the transfer market. And now with several of our La Masia superstars aging, we have to be prepared to spend huge amounts of money to replace them in the coming years. La Masia cant bail out our poor activities in the market any
longer. Do we have that amount of money when our former garbage signings tying our hands in the coming years with their fat contracts we give them?

Other than Thiago there has not been the players from La Masia in recent years that should have Barca way ahead.

When the great generation were around. Barca were way ahead.

If we dont sign a world class RB and CM we will for sure lose one more year and win nothing and all of that in Messi era. In last 2 years we have done everything wrong and we have ruined our chance to dominate.

Just two good signings this summer could significantly improve our squad so if Verratti is of limits that we should have plan B but we don't have a shit. This is clearly visible from the fact that we went after Ceballos after EURO. Someone with good scouting would know he is good way before everyone else see it.

That said I don't regret him joining Real since he is clearly a moron.

What does "world class" RB and CM mean? Being a starter for a rich club?

Would even take Coutinho for 90m at this rate lol

Better than Paulinho for 40

In fact, we would have been better off with Roque Mesa for 11m.

Liverpool wont sell him this summer dont think.

It would send out all the wrong signals for them to sell their best player after getting in CL when already been selling likes of Suarez and Sterling in past. Would take him in an instant though.

Scary thing is there are quite a few midfielders would take from Prem that would improve things.

Recent years? We are still relying on the great generation of Messi, Busi, Pique and to a certain extent Iniesta. That is the type of quality that RM do not rely on from their academy.

Coutinho for 90m isnt happening when Lukaku goes for 112m. Liverpool would look like muppets and they have huge amounts of money themselves to burn.

That doesnt mean Barca should be miles ahead when Real years ago have bought likes of Ronaldo and Ramos for huge money to compete with those players.

Barca were miles ahead when had that one off generation all together.

I know, was just a thought.

None of those MFs we're linked to anyway. We cannot even pull the trigger on bargains like Isco or Asensio or make a deal for Ceballos in Spain.

Should forget signing from England then.

Of course without Messi, Busi, Pique where would we be? The quality of those players is unquestionable and that is quality we would have had to replace by our transfer dealings instead if we didnt have them. And that is a scary thought. RM have had to build their entire team from signings in the market. And they've made a good job.

Asensio was bad miss although tend to think he is being built up a bit much now but good player. Isco wasnt needed at the time. Same with Modric.

Coutinho is on a huge contract that doubt Barca would give him. Likes of Eriksen who may be inclined to push to leave as wage cap at Spurs. Possibly.

Barca would have been in a different market for players.

God forbid Ronaldo but Barca were never after likes of him as have Messi mainly, never really after Isco and Modric as had La Masia players at club etc.

Real bought players to compete with Barcas homegrown players as best they could. Players Barca were never going to really go for at that time.

Looking at the garbage we have signed over the years in the markets we were in, thats not likely. To claim that we would have signed all those RM players instead if we didnt have Messi, Busi, Iniesta and Pique doesnt hold up to scrutiny.

Levy would bleed Barca dry.

Our next summer high profile signing will probably be Dembele. So, if we don't sign Verratti or other worthy mid this year I doubt we will do it next year.

I never said all those players would be signed I am saying that a lot of those players that are doing well for Real are not the type Barca were in for due to having great La Masia players in place of them already.

Reals best signing by far has been Ronaldo. Type of player Barca would never have been in for.

Your argument doesnt hold up to scrutiny either. No one can know.
