Barca Transfers and Rumors

Well, in general they are right it's hard to improve our best XI in most positions.

We absolutely have offers for the players we don't want to sell but there is no need to discuss that publicly because we won't sell them.

About the players we are prepared to sell would you expect them to publicly said they suck and lower their price? Of course it's the right thing to say they are all intransferible but if a good offer will come they will sell them. And for those players also don't make any sense they would publicly admit if they'd have offers. For all we know they could negotiate a transfer for one or more of them right now.

Anything that is said in those type of pressers is just a political talk. They don't want to speculate about our players future and they can't talk honestly about the players under contracts with other clubs.

Presser was totally fine by me but of course if you expected them to say we'll sign Verratti or we'll sell players that you want us to get rid off then it's understandable that you find it ridiculous.

No, I didn't exepct them to say that . It's just that those quotes, read as they are, sound a but stupid. Maybe there was stuff said in between and the excerpts are out of a larger paragraph. Anyway, as I said, these pressers are meaningless, and one shouldn't expect much from these, apart from political rhetoric..

Honestly if it was any other 22 year old vs Rakitic i'd agree with you.

Rakitic did have an under par season, probably not helped with the rotations Lucho did.

But i've never seen as many bad performances by a starting midfielder as Gomes ever for Barca, I just cannot see the potential in him.

Personally i'd let Gomes AND Rakitic go if we were to get Verratti, and then decide next season who replaces Iniesta!

Assume Rakitic and Gomes leaves and Verratti comes in. Knowing that Verratti has a chance of getting an injury, and Iniesta will almost for sure have an injury and both are out at the same time. Then the midfield is screwed.

BS for couple of reasons:

1) We have Suarez.

2) Dybala won't come to sit on the bench, he knows he'll play second fiddle to MSN.

3) I don't think our wage structure can handle another superstar signing with hefty wage demands.

4) Going off Barto words, our budget is 60M, we don't have the money to bring in Dybala this summer, maybe Dembele if Barto pushes it.

60M but already spend 42M. I also think it's bullshit because there is no place for Dybala in the team.

I don't get it. Why would we sign Paulinho? Why would we sign Paulinho for more than €30M? Even though I don't think we need any more 'back-up' midfielders in our already stacked midfield (let alone the world class midfielder we probably all want), I wish we'd check out Amadou Diawara (Napoli). The kid looks like a real gem and could add the physical qualities to our midfield. Could play as a defensive midfielder (back-up to Busquets, even though we already have Samper there) and as a box-to-box-midfielder (same profile as Paulinho or Sergi Roberto if he'd play in our midfield now Semedo joined). Don't think we need him, but if we'd sign a back-up midfielder I'd rather have a real gem like Diawara over Paulinho.

Rackitic must stay, Gomes, Arda or Rafinha should be offered to PSG...

Na , Gomes is the future , Rakitic is 8 years older and already on the wane judging by last season . Also the PSG manager has apparently said her love to work with Rakitic again ...

I'm still pesimistic about getting Verratti ...

Just sign jorginho and call it a day

What do we all know about Jorgino? What is so special about him and why would we sign this guy?
He is 26 years old and until now nobody mentioned him. I don't see him being an improvement to our team at all.
Majority of members just want to sign a midfielder, it's just wrong. We should either sign a world class midfielder or no one.
