Dembele on right.
Mbappe on left.
Coutinho in mid next to Messi.
Havent seen much of Coutinho to know his defensive skills.

How much would that cost? XD

Yea..thats what i thought :/
I bet Dahoud will have a great season in Dortmund and we come knocking next year for 10x the price.

Knowing this board we will probably sign the wrong Dembele XD

Thats not true at all.

Coutinho is actually hard working to defend and gets stuck in to win ball back.

From what I've seen of him, which isn't much to be fair, he tries to contribute to defending but isn't very good at it. A side like the one Selo has suggested would be lopsided in defense. Again, maybe I just haven't seen enough him, but I think Coutinho and Messi in midfield alongside Busi would be a no go. Messi in the front 3, and Coutinho in the mid 3 should be fine.

Not the same as Messi who saves his legs for long spells.

Coutinho presses hard and gets stuck in.

Fair enough, I still think it'd be better to pair Coutinho with someone like Raki or Roberto, rather than Messi. This way Coutinho won't have to compensate for Messi's lesser defensive work rate.

Problem is i see Coutinho more of a Iniesta, no? A player that drives the ball forward and not really a maestro like Messi/Xavi.
Neither Raki or Roberto can do that either, which would make us have the exact same problem as last year on midfield.

Weigl infront of Busquetes and behind Messi in midfield?

Could well be but just dont think Coutinho is an attacking mid that shirks defensive side of game as often seems to get mentioned on here.

Agree he and Messi together wouldnt work as a midfield. Def need a raki or Roberto type in there.

Dont like Messi being seen as AM at all.

Messi isnt a Xavi type player at all either.

Noone is as good as Messi, and noone is as good as Xavi on what they do.
But when it comes to passingskills, split eye vision and are able to make those killer cut through passes, Messi is the only one that comes close to Xavi.

That doesnt make them anything alike as players though.

Coutinho has a brilliant final pass as well but wont be anything like Xavi.

Xavi was so all about dominating the ball and getting about pitch to get on it as much as possible. Messi wont/cant do that and plays a far more risky game.
