Barca Transfers and Rumors

Need two CMs and a striker next summer. CB if Marlon and Mina don't work out. Busi will be 30 too, might be time to start looking at his long tern replacement.

Talking about a striker. Are we looking into Lautaro Martinez a 19-year old striker rom Racing Club in Argentina? Atletico, Arsenal, Napoli, Roma, and others are looking into this player. What are we doing? In Argentina, we have no competition. Argentine players would kill to come to La Masia, just like Messi did.

Pique future replacement as well will be needed, his always been slow and as he ages i fear for him

I agree. For that we need long-range planning and not to wait until August 1st to go out, like chickens with our heads cut off, to desperately find a replacement, by September 1st, where money is no issue.

the best thing to do would be to invest in some young talents, NOT for the B team but players that we can rotate with first team experience. we need to go back to our roots with la masia as well, its sad seeing so many of our youngsters leaving before a 1st team chance

I agree, but there two things to keep in mind. We need to sign young talent (~18 foreign talent or younger local talent - complying with FIFA rules) to send to La Masia to teach them or inculcate in them our style of play - to turn them them into Barça's players. The other thing, is that we are playing on three fronts, La Liga, the King's Cup, and the CL.Many times we play 3 games/week. These games are intensive and we cannot afford to lose any of them. Therefore, we need two players/position ready to play at the same level of the so-called "starters." It is hard to bring young players to give them experience with the first team. That is why Barcelona B. When they play for the first team, they have to be ready to go.

Ok, let's get realistic here. We can't play Iniesta, Rakitic and Busquets together unless they are hot in form. So it has to be Iniesta/Denis/Rafinha + Roberto/Rakitic/Gomes. Since we have loaned out Samper, I think Busi will get complacent again with no real competition. Same with Pique. Our front three have to be on fire if we are to win anything this season.

Gomes can't play there, he is slow and lacks the balls required to do the job Rakitic and Roberto could do. I would put him on Iniesta's place only if we are winning 2-0.

Now that the transfer circus is over, reality is kicking in, and with it the realisation that our midfield is as poor as last year, and we all know how much of a struggle last season was because of this. I would abandon the hope of Gomes finding his balls and talent, Rakitic finding some kind of motivation and speed potion, Iniesta finding a version of his younger self, and just start every game with one of either Roberto or Alena, can't be worse.

Gomes is far faster and more dynamic than many seem to think - we've all seen the sprinting times of the Barca squad by now , surely ?

Ok I get that we're all disappointed at the way things have turned out but I think that we now have to get behind the squad as a whole and give everyone a chance . I'll ease up on Rakitic but some you guys need to get off Gomes's case and also stop calling him all those ridiculous names - imagine if the guy reads the football forums - we know they do !

Terrible transfer window. Lost a world class player and gained two only possible world class players. Hope they don't regress like most of our recent purchases. Also wasted 40 million on a shady deal for Paulinho. Now sack the board before January in case they think about going for di maria or Ozil

Our only hope is the transfer window in January.. if we some how play well enough until then. I trust messi suarez dembele trio but not sure that alone can save us.

I doubt we would sign anyone big in January as most wouldn´t be allowed to play in CL for us.
Don´t see any reason to sign players who would just be able to play La Liga.
