I was thinking of lineups earlier and man does Suarez throw a big fucking spanner in the works.. I'd love to go with a front 3 of
Dembele-Messi-Coutinho with Thiago-Busi-Arthur behind but yeah..
Messi slow
Coutinho slow
Thiago slow
Arthur slow
Busi slow
Physically weaker:
Messi, Coutinho, Dembele
Thiago, Coutinho, Arthur
So, basically, this would be insanely one dimensional short, technical shortpassing team with zero counters, long balls, crosses or corners.
We would be forced to play slow against parked buses all the time and pass the ball around the box till death, with one new thing: zero players in the box (Suarez) which would make things even harder than now.
Our only options would be:
Score thought the middle.
Or rely on Messi's magic and Coutinho's longshots.
Prediction: 2nd or 3rd place in La liga
CL: knocked out in quarters by absolutely anyone.
Just one thing to thing about, what RM's team which won 4 Cls in 5 years had compared to a team which you posted is:
1. 2-3 attackers who can score with feet and head
2. some pace in attack
3. midfielders who are faster
4. attackers/midfielders with more muscles
5. at least one thug in midfield
6. overally a team who can play: possession, counters, crosses and corners.
Unlike your team who can play only: pass the ball around the box against a parked bus till death.
Our plan B would be as always: play a plan A again over and over :/
So, guys, if you want to get rid of Suaraz, maybe it's time for Werner or for ideas of some new, younger stronger versatile Cf.
NOT similar to Griezzclown or Dybala, please.
Do whatever you want with a team, but add some variations, a different options.
Don't clone a same midfielder or a same attacker 3 times and play with 11 clones on a field.
We can do better (more versatile) than that.
