Barca Transfers and Rumors

Considering how versatile De Jong is and the state and age of our midfield, I am not worried about him not getting playing time. He's more versatile than Kovacic, Isco, Asensio, Ceballos who RM have as options and were signed at that age (all signed as 20/21 year olds).

Parejo always pops up as an option it seems. Signing him for his 50m release clause would be another gift to Valencia, but at least BBZ8800 would be happy.

Parejo?

Besides that joke its all pretty clear. We only need a midfielder now and still lots of work to do regarding sales.

We are negotiating with two other midfielders in case if Rabiot doesn't come (he won't).

The identity of those two is unknown to the media (probably De Jong and Pjanić).

What’s your guess on who it is?

After the Malcom fiasco I'm not willing to test my luck and guess because I feel like this signing could come out of nowhere!

Few thoughts though:

1) It wont be Rabiot - Nasser isn't going to sell him and contract renewal negotiations are ongoing.

2) I think that while the club are still trying to sign De Jong, it will be for next season and he will stay at Ajax.

3) I don't think this midfield signing will be under the age of 25. It seems like Barcelona will be putting a lot of faith in both Arthur and Alena and don't want to add another young midfielder before evaluating those two this season. In addition, they want a midfielder with experience.

The midfielder could be Sergej Milinković-Savić, which I am not sure if he is what we need.

Rabiot, Sergej Milinković-Savić, Thiago, Pjanic, Kante and who else?

I would rule out Kante though because I think we are targeting a more advanced CM. And I agree FDJ is coming either way.
