Barca Transfers and Rumors

The problem is none is available.

Iniesta is gone so is Paulinho. Rafinha and Gomes will probably be sold so there is no doubt someone will have to come.

They will have to do something since our backup for Rakitic and Busquets (who are one year older) are inexperienced Atrhur and injured Alena who is more an AM. In the current state our midfield is even worse that last year so I don't think we have any option other than buying someone who is really good and who can contribute immediately.

I believe that Bayern would be willing to talk about Thiago but I am not sure if we are interested in him at all. IMHO he is the only solution we might have at the moment. Rabiot will most probably extend with PSG so I hope Abidal will give us some unexpected but positive surprise. But who will that be?!?! No one sane can classify Parejo as a world class. Pjanic on the other side is too expensive and I don't believe he would be a good fit. Abidal will need to work some magic here!!!

I also don't think De Jong will be signed now, we'll probably have to wait next summer to bring him. Even if we manage to sign him that would mean that we have 3 totally inexperienced players competing for playing time in the midfield (Alena, Arthur, De Jong). This is the main reason I don't believe De Jong will come this summer but I may be wrong.

Agreed, but i would rather have 3 younger guys with potential(playing the odds), than some mid level compromise guy, who ll be just vasting space for the next 5 years.

WC option doesn t look realistic. I also don t think Pjanic is the guy and i agree with board s position of not paying insane amounts for ex La Masia players.

I would be fine with Vidal for a couple of years. I always liked him and i think we wouldn t have lost that Roma game so easily with him on the field.

To be fair we wouldn’t have lost that Roma game if weren’t going on vacation to Rome. Vidal is a 31y old problematic character and I don’t want him here.

I don’t get that “overpaying fo ex La Masia players” problem. Thiago had to leave since he wasn’t playing and we bought f... Fabregas but I agree with you regarding having young players rather than mediocre ones.

Arturo Vidal can be a temporary solution

No thanks. Way too expensive and has problems with his health as well. Some years ago yes maybe but not now, he's way past his prime and already declined a lot imo.

I don't like signing players that just want to grab their last fat 4-year contract because they know they are completely done in 1-2 years.

Nonsense, Thiago didn't have to do anything. No doubt Tito didn't play him enough, but everyone knew Xavi didn't have that many years left in him, and Fab played false fucking 9 as much as he played cm in Thiago's last season.
He left for greener pastures on a promise to play for Pep - which is perfectly okay, but he wasn't forced to do jack shit. If he had stayed put, he most likely would've ended up as Xavi's heir.

BIG STEVE N'ZONZI enters the rumor mill.

Cheap, big, tall, physical and a world cup winner.

Meets the criteria!
