I was talking about his salary but yeah i also wouldn't pay 30M for a player like that to begin with. A short term solution for maybe 1-2 decent seasons would mean we're then stuck with an 33 yo useless player that still most likely has 2 years on his big contract. Unless China comes to the rescue once again i can already see the "when will we get rid of him???" comments.

I also disagree regarding his qualities, he already declined a lot and it will only get worse. He is also just coming back from a knee surgery what alone would already be a reason to be cautious.

Thats the very definition of short term solution and its not like he is still pure world class like Modric, Vidal already started to decline noticeably.

Let s be clear. I m fine with paying up to 40-50 mil for Thiago, but i would not be fine with amounts that are circling around (80 mil+). He is a risk due to his body isuess and i don t think his price value is in the top tear range.
I don t accept the "he had to leave" notion. He could have been a bit more patient, since Xavi was getting older. I think he would have been a starter a year later. Or at least high level roation guy.

Even Arda had that once up a time. Same is the case with Vidal. He is already semi retired. He doesn't have the desire to fight for trophies anymore.

My point exactly. Why would we want to get a has been and fund his drinking habit while he sits on the bench?

Didn't he come on as dub for Kante in the WC final and do splendidly well against Modric and Rakitic ??

Someone called Nzonzi slow yet he's grease lightning compared to Rakitic who is officially Barca's slowest player ( including all the keepers!)

Can't see us getting him as he's supposedly Arsenal's main target ..

Mina, Vidal, Lucas D should leave by the end of this week, I believe.

For about 60m, very impressive.

Paulinho's 50m + 60m = 110m and we have spent this window so far 94m = 16m+

I would rather spend 100m on De Ligt and FDJ instead of getting another CM.
