Barca Transfers and Rumors

While Roberto might not be a world beater, I'm pretty content with him. He's a likable boy with great attitude always giving his best. On top of it, he's a very good player. I'd have no problems with him being our starting RB. Especially if he improves his defending.

Whether he is in the first 11 or is in the top 10 on the team in minutes as heavily used alternate, Roberto is one of the key elements of the success of this squad. There is good reason why very different managers have played him so much. He is the best on the team in coming up with loose balls, in winning the 50-50 chances. He does not play small, which is lacking in this roster. Excellent strength, quickness, athleticism, bravery, work rate, endurance. On defense as RB, he neglects defending the corner of the field but is excellent helping out the CB to his left. This is the opposite of the Dani Alves approach.

The combo of Roberto and Semedo at RB is not a weak spot.

As we see they are looking for a player that knows to play and player who can score inside the box...Something like Paulinho...

But Id on't see many options...Arthuro Vidal,Pogba,SMS,Dele Ali,Rabiot...
So it looks like we are going for Rabiot.

I don't see anyone other at the moment who can be option.

I would still put Semedo and Dembele as the best right flank option as opposed to Roberto and Rakitic or someone else. I think Semedo has some issues that has got to his head, hopes he shakes that off and obviously Valverde needs to rotate them more evenly especially if one were to be used before a big game. Roberto didnt even rest much before the Chelsea game.

Roberto is obviously good with his technicality but he still lacks as a pure RB and is likely to be exploited in big games. He will be good for La Liga but I would like more of Semedo and him being ready for big games. Roberto can play as a RCM as well.

Just like we didn't win anything last season either, right?
GTFO, Zincubus

We've been here before ... We were gifted the league buy the horrendous starts the other two had . Nobody cares bout the Copa del Whatsit . We didn't play the lovely football we've got used to seeing and were embarrassed in the Champion's League ...

Also why do you get so stressed when somebody ( a fellow Barca fan incidentally ) has a different opinion to you ???

It's a flamin' forum for gawd sake !!

A different opinion? You just claimed we didn't win anything last season. That's not an opinion, that's just stupidity.
