Barca Transfers and Rumors

Alcacer should complete the squad to the point where we've nearlycaught up to Madrid squad wise and that should mean we don't need loads of new signings next year and they've been able to keep a settled squad and just sign a couple of buy backs. We can do that or just sign some top prospects if there's still nothing emerging from La Masia.

I have to give credit to Robert. Our squad has greatly improved. Its weird to suddenly have depth. Im not used to it. I would say we might still need an rb (back up) next season but that is about it.

Barcelona have made at least six signings in one transfer window 3 times in the 21st Century - 2008/09, 2014/15, 2016/17.

Treble incoming? :tito:

Lucho got all the squad changes he wanted, this is quite a haul this transfer window. Not all the new guys will flourish here, there will be losers in the competition for playing time. But there is plenty enough talent on hand now, Lucho should be able to develop a deep-enough playing rotation to avoid burning out anyone. Almost every position has good-to-superb injury insurance.

Should have sold Matheiu at a give away price.
Probably a buy one (Adriano) get on free (Mathieu).

According to L'Equipe We are interested in Monaco's Killian Mbappe for possibly next season. He's 17(Turns 18 in December) and he plays as a Striker/Winger.

I don't know where is this info from, but it is misleading and implying that we won trebles each time when we bought 6 or more players during summer.

In 2001/02, we bought 6 players:
Saviola, Geovanni, Christanval, Bonano, Rochemback, Patrick Andersson
= no titles

In 2004/05, we bought 7 players:
Etoo, Deco, Guily, Edmilson, Belletti, Sylvinho, Albertini
= we won La Liga

That's my only gripe ..... Arsenal wanted Matheiu and were desparate for a CB last week ....

We should have done a part ex deal with Bellerin ....

We don't need Bellerin, we have Roberto.

And Arsenal were never really interested in Mathieu. I also don't understand why so much hate towards him. He's still useful as 4th CB and will help Umtiti, Digne and Paco (they are apparently good friends) to adapt. If we'd sell him we'd need to bring in another CB as I don't think either of Marlon or Tarin are totaly ready for the first team yet and they also need to play regularly this season which they wouldn't if they would be our 4th CB option. So better for them to stay in Barça B, traing occasionally with first team and use them when needed.
