As a DM, he is way better and more consistent.
But we have Busi, and possibly Arthur and Rabiot there (not to mention Oriol), so that ship has sailed also.

Roberto will stay a RB and a hot and cold CM (with 4-5 matches in midfield per season) till the end of his Barca's career.

Depends on the big picture of the team,I think Roberto could be considered for back up DM by next manager.
Club seem to be really believing in Wague for example, a starter in world cup with ton of potential and physical tools, if he proves himself worthy in the RB position (either starting or back up) he could very well push Roberto to the midfield, where he is gonna be used in both positions.
-Have we played Arthur as DM b4? Rabiot isn't interested in playing that position either. If Raki leaves, and with Vidal not being really a DM either, Roberto might turn out to be 2nd choice DM.

Rabiot at DM is a big no. He is trash there. Arthur can cover, but it's not his pimary position.

Rabiot doesn't even want to play at DM. That's one of the reasons he's bailing on PSG and Deschamps got so annoyed at him. He's a better DM than CM. He's useless at CM.

Whats the point if the RB is always going to be benched in favor of Roberto.. First, we need to get rid of our players who are too comfy and continue to pick themselves irrespective of bad performance. Even if we buy a prime Dani Alves now, he will be benched for Roberto...Same applies to Pique, Alba, Rakitic, Busquets.

Dont know that much about him. I like TAA though.

Funny how a lot of young quality LB's have emerged (F.Mendy, Hakim, Grimaldo, Guerreiro, Firpo etc) but the market for RB is shit. I hope either Wague or Morey will turn elite. I had high hopes for Morey but lets see how he return from injury.
