Not so sure City would never accept this, more a case of whether Barcelona would consider it IMHO. Player is not towing the Pep line and history has shown that typically ends only one way

Absolutely, a true loan would include a buyback clause of some kind and at this point I think City are more concerned about replacing him than any fee they lost out on him

Apparently, we are following Domagoj Bradarić who is 19 years old LB from Hajduk Split

We are not a farmer club for City/Pep. Only way I would consider (but in the end probably still reject because of the injury concerns) your idea is if we would also have a buy option around 20-30M but City would never accept this.

Eh, if it benefits both sides, and for a back up position, why not?

How would he get more regular playing time here? We also need someone who would be actually healthy when Alba will be rested. Mendy has played 16 league games since joining City so I don't have any confidence in him to stay healthy.

Actually, I looked at Filipe Luis and Nacho Monreals injury-records and they are a bit unsettling. I thought Monreal would be the most injured, but it turns out that during the last 3 seasons Nacho Monreal has been out ~97 days and Filipe Luis has been out 173 days. What is worse is that Monreal was more injured earlier, while Filipe Luis' injuries has skyrocketed after he turned 30, so that doesn't look good for his next 2 seasons for example.

Still, I think buying one of them is a good idea, because we won't need them that often and none of them are Vermaelen, but it is something to consider for sure. I would sign both and compare their medical tests and turn the worst of them down last minute

Good strategy! In the end if we could give 20% of jordis minutes to another across the season i think it would work all the way around and hopefully either can do that even if they are not fit all the time. Of course one of these 2 vets have to agree to, yeah, id rather play a back up role on a triple trophy chasing squad than going a level below but being the regular starter. All is on a vet player on this level to say this is what i want to do.

If every week there is a new wonderkid, were they ever really wonderkids in the first place?

Seems to follow almost all young forwards out there. Our scouting department is quite good. Here is hoping we can buy a cheap young forward who later turns out to be world class

Why aren't we looking at Moises Kean of Juventus? He's scored 7 goals in the last seven games. He's only 19 and looks like a classic 9. He's strong, good movement, smart and will improve. His ceiling is high. He'll be willing to play back up and learn.
Juve won't sell but if we convince the player to come they'll have no choice.

I think he'd fit in tbh, he's pretty complete.
Contract is out in 2020 but I don't think he wants to leave Juve and they surely won't want to let him go.
