We didn't have the cap space for a new RB, and deadline makes deal happen easier

Alba, Alonso, Balde - isn't it too much for the next season? What's the point of having 3 left-backs when we have almost no one on the right wing.
Is Xavi going to play with 3 central-backs and use Alba there and go with Alonso/Balde as his LWBs (and Rafinha as RWB)?

This year, what is needed from RB is completely different from recent years, because the killer crosses from that side will be coming from Raphina. This allows a RB with lessor attacking skills - Kounde. Kounde is one of the best players on this squad, the best defensive RB I have seen for this team that I can remember. Even if he is better at CB than he is at RB, on this squad he has to start at RB.

Pique will not be in the roatation. Xavi has hinted Pique will shift to coaching or front office very soon.

I don't think either Alonso or Bellerin will start, they won't beat out Balde and Kounde. But adding them for improved depth, great. Alba is done for this team. Roberto will continue to be useful depth.

Gavi, Pedri and Busquets will start in midfield, both De Jong and Kessie will play almost every game. Fantastic subs, best depth in a long, long time. Pjanic is only deep depth, same with Roberto.

Up front, Raphina, Lewa and Dembele will start, Fati will play every game. Torres will get more chances, but has not yet earned a rotation role. No one else will get more than token minutes. Barca will lead La Liga in scoring. It is true that Lewa has declined, he will only win the Pichichi this year, probably not FIFA Player of the Year.
