My point was not to take Kvara now.
It is to find the Kvara of 2023 next summer that would cost 10m and will be a total bargain. Or the Alvarez of 2023, etc.
We don't have money and have Tebas on our shoulder.
One more reason to go that way.
I wanna see us risking with such low-cost transfers.
Besides, the 'sure' bets we are going for, like Raphinia, turn our not so great more frequently than not
I get you. We tried it in recent years:- Dest, Trincao, Abde, Todibo, Junior Firpo, Emerson, Yusuf Demir, Pedri
Mixed success, and it wasn't easy. If you ever read my posts in the B team forum, you will see that I have been calling for years for us to try and go for higher class prospects in the 10m range rather than unproven but cheaper punts that never work at >=5m.
I would say that Kvara is an exception rather than the norm though and we should have been more attentive to him and others through the Ukraine-Russia football fallout. Alot of talented players left and for less than their market situation because of the war. I think Madrid even got in and signed Vin?cius Tobias on loan for 2 years with a buy option.
For referene Tobias cost Shakhtar 6m and they then loaned him out 4 months later.
And there was a plethora of talented players who left and are leaving the country cheaply even outside of Kvara.
