He's more a replacement for Suarez than Dembele but we need that as well. Probably the best we can do right now. It's our fault we didn't bring someone a week or two ago when we had more options.

He'll be 33 soon but is still a good player. Release clause is 10m so if we can get him for half of that I'll take him. Getafe will probably want us to pay a clause as they are chasing a top 4 finish and are also still alive in Europa League so they'll need him. He's their top scorer even if he mostly comes off the bench. But we have a former Getafe SD as Abidal's assistant and also loaned them Cucu so maybe they'll give us some discount.

Only problem with that is he’ll probably be a Boateng 2.0. Hardly play at all and pointless transfer in the end, would be surprised if he fits well and gets a lot of playing time. Hope to be proven wrong.

Well, we have 3 healthy first team forwards, one of them being a 17 yo kid who I think shouldn't be overplayed so Angel would play more than Boateng. Of course what he can bring to us is another question.

Angel from Getafe is apparently the the chosen one to sign.

Sheesh!

 Is there no one better FFS than this 33y old player who is on the level of Boateng?!?! Come on we can do better than this!

Other names include Lucas Perez, Borja Iglesias and Stuani.

Stuani might not be a bad a go, he has a good scoring record in La Liga and is currently playing in Segunda.

I would also opt for Stuani. 6 month loan and than he can go back to Girona.

He would have been VERY feasible to get in the transfer window.

Now it's going to be difficult to convince Girona to sell us their best striker as they wouldn't be able to get a replacement. Not sure what his release clause is either.

Forget about Stuani. Leading goalscorer in Segunda with 20 goals with Girona having 0 chance to replace him. Release clause at more than 15M seems overwhelming.

When Boatang was acquired, he certainly was not performing at the level of 20 goals in half a season in the Spanish second division. Abidal can sign Stuani for the rest of this season as his final act prior to resigning. If it costs 15M, that is chicken feed for a billion euro a year business, well worth it if it would enable even one additional victory.
