Yeah you got Retegui being mentioned coz he is banging em for Atalanta this season. But last year had 7 goals.

We gotta likewise find those diamonds before they hit it to explode under Flickball.

Nico can be that guy.

Do you really need Nico's upside right now though? He has performed poorly this season. Would be a high salary + club would have to take out a loan to cash out the buyout + the taxes.

We have a very young team already. It's not like we need to get younger. Could you potentially sign a cheaper winger that's older and in his prime like Diaz and then look for that winger with upside in 2-3 years instead?

I like Nico, but don't see him as the type of prospect that you cannot miss out on.

What we paid for him would basically be what we paid for raph and a bit higher salary.

People here were against that too, now everyone caught amnesia.

No chance you get a player with his age and potential upside for less than 60m.

Nothing close to Courtinho and the
likes
We paid that for Rapha because his position was free. You continue to ignore that his position is blocked by said Rapha now. Where exactly should Niko play? Or do you expect him to sit on the bench for that pricetag and his ego?

Do we even need an elite winger atm? Those are all fairly expensive names for what we need

We would rotate, big teams need more than a strong starting XI, you need 1 or 2 players on the bench that are starting caliber.

The little savings we got from signing let's say Diaz, wouldn't be enough to sign a quality striker anyways.

But if we did, we would be looking to sign a player to replace both him and raph in a few years.

While if we sign Williams, we'll have a raph replacement ready and can ship him off to SA or wherever in 2 seasons.

It just makes too much business sense, to not sign a 22 year old Winger for 60m who would be with us for 8 years minimum.

Only thing would be better is a messinho type player for the same money or a unknown with high potential for less.

The only issue with Nico is sell on value because of the wage he would he signing on.

But other than that it is a good move.

Just look at the other teams willing to spend 60m + 12m wages. There's your market.

I think it's only Arsenal.

Maybe not elite, but we need some competition/depth.
Who we should sign depends on the options and price.

Sure, but Nico will require a similar package to one you can get a Gyokeres/Sesk with. Same with leaoa and likely Diaz.
All while we need to address depth in fullbacks, GK and a starting striker within next two summers.

Which club apart from City has 100m+ package winger/or players in general on the rotation bench?

You & this 100m trying to make it look worse than it really is.

58m is a average for a high potential Winger right now.

He's really a 70-80m player if not for the clause.

Madrid
City
PSG
Bayern
City
Arsenal
Man Utd

I'm I forgetting anyone?

All have players coming off there bench that's North of 40-60m.

Maybe they paid less but that's due to buying Early.

We are the only club that have nothing coming off the bench out wide.

The point you're trying to make just isn't a solid one.

He won't be a bench player, he will play about as much minutes as yamal & raph over the course of the season.

Pretty sure if we have the money that's who the club will sign, because they see the long term upside in such a singing.

Who is this magical striker we will sign for 60m that will improve? Hint there is none that you can name I'm 100% sure.

Who Is the striker that sending 80m all in on Diaz will help us signing instead of 100m on Williams?.

Isak is costing 120m at a very minimum and about the same salary as Nico if not more, he's the hottest striker in the world right now outside of haaland, we aren't going to be able to low ball is salary.

We missed the boat on that.

Gyokeres probably similar numbers to Nico, 80m + the same salary, but he's in Portugal not worth the risk, let some one else take it.

If we could get him for 60m I would take him over Nico.

We need 1 RB, LB is set whether we rate Martin or not.

Goal keeper is set as, we will keep mats and Pena.

We need a

RB
LW
ST

That's it.

Liverpool have Darwin. 100m+ signing.

If we ignore the EPL then even Atleti have pumped 130m in transfer fees excl wages to add Sorloth and Alvarez to their attack of Riquelme, Correo, Simeone, Griezmann, Lemar.

Just way more depth.

He won't be a bench player, he will play about as much minutes as yamal & raph over the course of the season.
He has 4 goals and 5 assists in 2100 minutes, that is a goal contribution every 233 minutes. To think he would gather the same minutes as Lamine and Rapha is a bold statement. I was all for signing him during the Euros, but for now he looks like a second James who lived with the hype of the Euros.
And his 4 goals were against Pilsen, Prag, Osasuna and Las Palmas. You need to be insane like Barto to pay over 100m+ for a player with these statistics, if you have financial difficulties as well as Rapha and Lamine as wingers.
The only reason, the absolute only reason considering to buy him is in the hope he's more worth. But that is a gamble Barca can't afford now in my opinion.

And a nice list, but I meant specific examples of teams who have a 100m package player and rotate him between starting and bench. It would really interest me how many there are in teams not sponsored by oil states.
The "maybe paid less because early" doesn't count here, as his pricetag is the main criteria for this discussion, so I ask again, which players cost over a 100m with fee and wages to be in a player 12-15 rotation.

Could also go for Alex Baena. But he ain't your out and out dribbling wideman.

6g/5a LaLiga this season.
2g/15a LaLiga last season.

60m BO same as Nico, but wage would likely be lower.
