I think it's questionable how you can offer 2m in Summer (4m BO) and still lose out on him when he is on a free.

Maybe we are not that big on him, or maybe it is another on Deco's almost list.

I think having another good season in Segunda probably increased his wage demands to the level we don't want to go. And well, he's free to negotiate with all interested clubs now so his agent is using that as a leverage to get the best deal.

Or maybe it's the same old story we missed out on several talents over the years imo. We wanted to sign him for BA and he's clearly already above that level. And we have no other solutions. Should offer him a preseason with first team and then potentially a loan if Bumsi (his talent evaluation is poor so you never know) wouldn't consider him ready. Newcastle will probably loan him too or play him in their U23.

BTW, Newcastle also one of the clubs chasing FM wonderkid Roony Bardghji. Just returning from a seriouis injury but his contract is up in December.
