Would be hilarious if we bought diaz, then Liverpool uses that money to buy Nico

A younger player with better upside.

If you are an agenr of a young player like Nico with many offers, would you go for Liverpool while 3 of their best players are hoping fir renewals while the club is being stingy?

I see Nico in Arsenal or City

I wouldn't, but it would be kinda ironic if that's how it played out.

But i agree with you, i see him at arsenal or us in the summer.

Not so much city, but its a possibility, they do need wingers.

Nico playing anywhere but for Barcelona is a big L for us.

I highly doubt Liverpool would accept 40m for a player who is worth 85m and has a contract till 2027..
"Worth"? He's worth as much as what somebody pays for him and if we really want him I hope we don't spend a cent above 50M INCLUDING variables. Pool won't lose any money and can ship a 29 year old player who they don't really appreciate - next summer they won't even get 30M. If Diaz wants out Liverpool should do the smart thing and sell this summer for about 50M.

If we magically offload Tractor this summer than sure, go for Isak.
Newcastle just qualified for European football today and will also likely get top 4 this season.

No way they sell unless he hands in a transfer request. And even then, he will be more than 150 million Euros.

Yeah, only Barca is stupid enough to pay 70 mil on a player like Diaz, that's their only hope. If they really want to get rid of him they will have to accept less than 50.

There is no reason to believe Newcastle will finish top 4 this season given the standings and their form this season. The only thing in their favor is City and Chelsea throwing it all away at the moment.

Dias is 29, he's been average for LFC. Not bad, not great. Why would we pay more than what LFC paid when he's 3 years older and not better than when they got him.

30-40mil for Dias, or gtfo. Even then, rather spend it on Nico which is the similar creator type with bad finishing. He's younger and has time to improve though. Nico and Tah this summer would be good business. I'd prefer striker over a winger, but I've come to terms with Lewa refusing to leave until 2026.

Top 5 from EPL will play in CL. They need just 1 more win from any of their teams to secure top 2 coefficient this season. Chelsea alone is granted that. Never mind that other leagues will lose points anyway.

Newcastle has a decent chance to secure such a place. Liverpool and Arsenal are safe bets for qualifying to CL obviously.

Nottingham are in a good spot too, but could choke their chances. Next few weeks are critical for them.

One of Newcastle, Chelsea or City is likely lose on CL spot.

I don't get the huge obsession with LW. I do understand it would be nice to have a winger to cover Raphinha and Yamal but not a 70m one.

Go spend that money on a striker. It's clear as day where the problem is going to be very soon at Barca.

Lewa is older and he is getting by just enough these days. Imagine a young athletic striker like Gyokeres out there.

Without sounding like a broken record: Cancelo would solve a lot of our rotation problems. RB, LB, LW. Tah on a free or not if Araujo stays for CB.
All that is left is striker.

Definitely agree. I think Lewandowski is doing well for his age but we need to improve this team. It's clear when Ferran comes on how much it helps in this system to have a striker who can press with great intensity. If only Ferran was a consistent finisher he'd be a decent starter for us but he's not unfortunately

We need to get a striker this summer. Not a long term solution, we can't afford that right now and it's best to wait for Isak in that regard. But a short term solution is necessary. Doesn't have to be a world class striker. Somebody who can press and who is a consistent finisher. I recommended Retegui but there is a lot other guys.

I think it is pretty sure we are not getting striker.

Lewa will score in the end 35-40 goals and we don't have money for Isak kind of player.

We need winger much more then striker.

Ferran or Olmo can cover it.

Or if we get winger we can play like PSG.

Williams-Rapinha-Yamal.

If we get right footed winger we are good.
