Yes get Diaz for 70mil, help Liverpool again like with Coutinho. We buy their overpriced bum, while they use that money to buy a WC player like Isak.

No one will buy Isaak this summer for 150m, only City or PSG can pay that money up, and Newcastle won't sell to them.

As for Diaz, you can't get top shelf player, starter for Liverpool the EPL champions, for 30 or 40m that some here think will be OK, when his contract is not running out until 2027

Market is what it is. Deal with it.
Besides, as I explained in my longer post, not only transfer cost but wages amount more to the total cost.
Both Nico and Leao get much more wage than Diaz.
Diaz will be cheaper overall

PS: Nothing to do with Coutinho, who was overpriced even for the stakes of that 2017 market, and was surplus to the requirements on the pitch, as we had Messi occupying the same spaces.
It was a stupid transfer with no planning whatsoever

There is no way to justify spending 70m on a winger who lacks end product, is inconsistent and turns 29 during the season.

That is a retarded decision no matter how you paint it.

Now if you sign him for 30-40m then sure. It’s a bet for a more reasonable fee. Obviously Liverpool probably won’t sell him for that, but fuck them then.

It is all true, but for 70mil we can get much better player, or more talenred player that can be world beater, while Diaz is already at his best and will not be any younger oe better

I doubt this. Don't under estimate our ability to pay Luis Diaz whatever we would pay Nico or Leao.

Ferran earned 3m at City. We pay him 10m.
Raphinha earned 4m at Leeds. We pay him 12.5m.

Psg bought Kvartashkelia, Doue and Barcola all for less then this. Also Dembele.

Fuck off with Diaz.

All of them are 3x better then Diaz.

Jeez.

We could have bought both Alvarez and Diaz for the price of Ferran + ~10m.

He is not inconsistent.
You haven't watched him regularly. I have been watching Klopp's Pool more than any other team not called Barca.
Top performer for what he does: penetrate, dribble, break lines.

He doesn't have the end product of others, that's true.
But each to his qualities.

He is far better and more clever option than Nico and Leao for different reasons each.

PS: As I wrote above, if they want to go for a top shelf player from top team, Diaz is the best option.
Personally, I would not go to buy a player that plays already there.
I would splash money for Dortmund's Gittens who might be having higher ceiling than all we discuss here

Why are we interested in Diaz anyway? I don't think he would start over Raphinha or Yamal & he's too expensive to be a bench player, surely. We can find cheaper rotation options for the wing.

If we have that much money we need to buy a striker, not another winger.

It seems like we are forgetting again that we are going to have a huge problem at striker. We are lucky enough that Lewandowski is still playing at a good level ; he looks like he will turn to stone any time soon.

See above.
I would go for another player in general

He is inconsistent.

That is literally what nearly all Liverpool fans will tell you.

Their theory is that everything went downhill after his injury 1-2 years ago.

That's what I worry about with Fatporta in general.
The guy is a disaster.

He is ready to buy LEao for 120m and give him a 18m wage or so.

Coz Deco isn't well versed in technological aspects of player evaluation such as data, analytics and using a phone.

He would start over Lewa in most games
See my discussion with Jamrock above

-Lamine-Olmo-Diaz
---------Rapha

would kill under Hansi-ball

PS: Since Lewa is staying for 1 more season, we will go for top striker in 2026.
It is what it is
