What is the point of spending 70m on a winger who doesn't score or assist, and changing the tactics that made you successful so as to accommodate playing with 3 wingers up front.

Then you add in the fact that you will be moving Raphinha from a position he has played in to a Ballon Dor worthy level, to a position that he has never played in before in his life.

Maddeningly stupid idea that only our Sporting Department would consider. Even moreso when you consider you can just use that 70m to get Gyokeres to replace Lewa and keep the system, pattern of play and tactics as they are.

Only rebuttal i was say is, many didn't think raph would be this good as a LW/LF.

Maybe he'll Adapt to the striker position just as well.

But your point is valid.

I don't get the huge obsession with LW. I do understand it would be nice to have a winger to cover Raphinha and Yamal but not a 70m one.

Go spend that money on a striker. It's clear as day where the problem is going to be very soon at Barca.

Lewa is older and he is getting by just enough these days. Imagine a young athletic striker like Gyokeres out there.
I think we know we need one, but Lewa doesn't want to leave and has a monstrous wage. We can't bring in a top striker on big wages if Lewa is still here, even if on the bench sadly.

Get a Hybrid LW/ST, and everyone is happy.
Lewa is not going anywhere, Raph and Yamal are our starters on the wings. Just get a player like Lookman or similar and we are cooking.
Won't cost us much, has fallen out with the coach. Wages would be decent enough.
Solves every problem we will have next season.

This also depends if we can ship both Tuna and Fati out of the club.

That's the point. I would understand it if we had a chance to get some world class winger that wanted to come but fucking Diaz that Liverpool wants to get rid of?

We should do everything to buy a striker and try to force Lewa out. If he sees he could end up on the bench maybe he'll consider leaving. His ego is too big for a part time role.

Don't worry. ilIf we don't get Diaz, coz Porkchop Xavi wanted Pepe of Porto.

Having a cracking season with 5 GA in 20 something games.

I cannot believe they will likely sacrifice the entire season next year to satisfy a washed player. Sure you are right though

Most likely is Nico in and CF options are Lewa, Torres and Olmo and with Nico likes of Raphinha can cover AM should Olmo be needed at CF.

The way Flick plays the front 4 four are very fluid and constantly allowed to hit space they see.

Diaz is decent and would fit but the age etc and not being the pacey threat in behind etc that Barca lack just doesn't seem the best move.

Still think..FFP allowing.. it will be Nico.

There is precisely zero chance Barca are buying Diaz to play Raphinha CF.

Utterly clueless nonsense.
Nobody said that, but at some games depending on injuries, gives as more options.

People forgot how bad we look when Yamal or Rapinha are not playing.

With one injury we are done
