Things got increasingly complicated for Barca in last 3-4 years with clubs with unlimited budgets cheating their way in market and now Barca tethering on financial edge with mamooth salary expenditures (regardless of having a new shirt deal or not).

And it's not going to get better. EPL is getting more and more TV money and China is serious about getting their league among best. Those ridiculous salaries they offer is just a part of their plan.


What are Barca directors doing in meantime? Do they understand they need to adapt fast and start taking their jobs seriously?

We are treble winners last year and we are in CDR final ,full control of Liga race along 95% chance we are in CL 1/4 . nevermind the fact we were the 2nd richest club in the world last year
I don't like the board ,but it is tough to say they aren't taking their job seriously. at least for now

Would your opinion change if the genius of Lucho is the major factor behind Laporte's signing? Or have you made out your mind he's rubbish and will forever be?

If players like Kovacic got the benefit of doubt for being inconsistent due to his age and because he played for an unstable team that fell out of glory like Inter, then I don't see how it can't apply to Laporte or other players.

I am not giving them the full credit for winning either,but again I can't blame them when nothing bad really happened .for now the club is in good condition .

Probably not. When you think about it, Sport have become increasingly pathetic the last few months and even published some articles criticizing the team very harshly to say the least. Almost like there's a new editor who is an Asspanyol fanboy.

MD not that great either, but I'm giving that Laporte article the benefit of doubt simply because it's collaborated by several journalists including some very good and credible ones like Miguel Rico.

Point that I was making are challenges in the future and increased number of rivals in the market. We can't expect same results doing the same thing in a changed environment.

Watch that SPORT rumor be quickly shot down yet again.

Laporte will be chased after by a lot of clubs, if it comes down to it I hope we have Realistic back up options to him if we miss out on him and instead of completely unrealistic ones like Marquinhos.

Mustafi has been really poor this season. Not good enough for Barca at all in my opinion.

If it hadnt been for Mustafi, Valencia would have been below the relegation line now IMO. He'll leave be the end of the season to a bigger club almost certainly.
