I rather sign a nobody prospect for a few million (like AM did) than pay anything over 30mil for Laporte. I really don't rate him. Every time I watch him play I'm either disappointed or see absolutely nothing worth 50mil buyout or w/e the hell absurd amount they want. I know people would say "but he's young and still a prospect" but at his age I don't see what is so special to build off of in the first place, he's been average for a long time now.

Adriano isn't renewing, he's got a clause in his contract that somehow allows him to decide if he wants to stay for another season, and apparently he's using it because he can't get paid as well anywhere else. I wouldn't be surprised to see him still get shipped off this summer.

Mathieu has been looking real good to me as #3 CB, especially alongside Pique. Vermaelen has had too many bad moments, and Bartra just is never going to get his chance under Lucho. They could both leave this summer, no big deal.

I think the team has very fine backup at both of the FB positions, and all three of the midfield positions. Maybe it is a bit thin that the best backup for these five spots is just the one guy, Sergi R. Arda has not quite as good as I had anticipated, but he is fine as a backup. Aleix is fine as a backup, and now I'm convinced that Munir is good enough to play limited minutes.

So, I see no emergencies requiring important squad additions this summer. This would change if any key players leave, and one or two probably will (Busquets and Ter Stegen?). Some of the deep backup guys should change, same as every summer, but these jobs just are not that important.
