Man today felt like hell on twitter.

Bartra leaves some Barca twitter personas, went off on tangent and started thinking we are becoming the new Milan. add to the Denis Suarez saga that we could possibly lose him due to a stupid clause. the amount of fear mongering by some cules on twitter is off the charts.

and we still have another two and a half months of this crap to go.

Some reactions are indeed over the top, but with the way agents have been playing the club, it's a bit worrying. Add that to the fact of losing alves and bartra, without replacements, while adriano, douglas and verm are still part of the squad, and people will freak out. It's really a comedy show, so far.

Yeah it's a comedy show, at this point I'm just so worn out in regards to the stupidity of this transfer window from our end.

-Alves leaving for Free

-Sandro leaving for free due to "Good Behavior"

-Adriano want's to leave for free and get paid for the last year of his contract.

-Finding out how literally dumb Denis Suarez's buyback clause really is and we could possibly lose him before the first of July.

-Bartra only going for a mere 8 million due to a clause of how many games he played.

at this point I wouldn't be shocked if Douglas ends up staying here for another season due to no one wanting to buy him or on loan. I remain Optimistic though about our transfer window, but man the last couple of weeks really took a lot out of me just how badly we are being played by our own players agents and us shooting ourselves in the foot in regards to our Decisions.

Our starting 11 since 2014-16 I really don't have Complaints. but the rest of the squad? just misery from there.

Players like

Roberto
Mathieu
Rafinha
Munir
Arda (willing to give him a full season)
Vidal (Same with Arda).

I'm totally fine with but players like

Sandro
Adriano
Verm
Bartra
Douglas

I just don't get how a top team like ours end up with Squad players that are either.

1. Not being trusted and used.

2. their best years are behind them and can't stay fit anymore.

3. Injury Prone and unreliable.

4.Not remotely good enough for a team like ours.

Adriano could've left a year ago for 4 million but we refused to do it. it got to a point he was behind Mathieu and Roberto in the pecking order at LB, due to being Unreliable and Couldn't stay fit anymore.

Sandro? I thought he had his decent moments but he eventually was dropped kicked from the Squad towards the end of the first part of the season and never really got much action after that. He supposedly had offers in January but we didn't let him go due to us failing to secure funds for Nolito and Denis Suarez and now he will leave as a free agent at the end of the season.

Verm? We could and should've avoided signing him when it was obvious he couldn't stay fit to save his life. Zubi overruled the medical team's decision and we signed him while he was still injured. He did get the green light Finally in October 2014, only for it to be short lived when he needed to have surgery which effectively put him out of action until April of 2015. Despite the Purple Patch he had during the first part of the season, his injury problems returned and his performances compared to some of the games he played during the first part of the season went down hill and it was obvious yeah he isn't good enough for us.

Bartra? Never was trusted to be first choice by Three of our managers once he was promoted to the first team. He could've left last year but, Lucho Convinced him to stay as he had hopes of perhaps getting even more minutes this season than last. and same story as the last several seasons, he was regulated to 5th choice CB, and rarely got to play. He finally said "Fuck it" and signed with Dortmund for a mere 8 million euros.

Douglas? Nice guy but clearly not Barca quality. Zubi and the Board took a very cheap gamble on him in hopes of him perhaps being a decent Alves replacement or back up. But even when he was in Brazil he wasn't rated by anyone and clearly wasn't good enough. We are likely stuck with him for awhile due to no one wanting to buy him or take him on loan.

Considering we are the best team in the world I just don't understand how we haven't improved the overall quality of the squad. It's taken us so long to finally clear out the dead weight and even then we are still shooting ourselves in the foot while doing it.

What's that?
We could effectively only use the buyback clause from July 1-15th for 3.5 Million Euros. Before July we only have first Option on Him, But it leaves us Vulnerable to some team coming in and offering Villarreal lets say 15 million euros for Suarez, and If we can't match that we lose Suarez before we could use the Buyback clause in July.

We can't buy anyone or announce any signings until at least July 1st due to the new Financial year. Theirs rumors that Denis has some pretty good offers from other teams compared to ours and is reconsidering perhaps joining us.

Well, that club can't sign Denis till July 1st, when the actual transfer window opens, when you say you signed someone before July 1st, it's because the three parts have agreed but in this case, they can't move on June 30th 23:59 cause the clause kicks in by 00:00 when the transfer can be validated and we gain the right to hold him for 3.5m.

The only positive of those leaving free or not is that "hopefully" we should get good replacements.. So in the end them leaving for free isn't that bad, although it's still stupid.

Who knows until we sign anyone though.

When a player leaves, we can "get" money in 2 ways: transfer fee+his wages which are gone (ok, we will usually buy a new player who will get wages, but when an older player with higher wages leaves and a younger player with lower wages signs for a team, we are basically "earning" some money).

From players who are (possibly) leaving this summer:
1. Masch wages 130k Euros weekly=6,76 Millions Euros per year
2. Alves 120k E weekly=6,24m Euros per year
3. Adriano 60k=3,12m
4. Verm 55,5k=2,88m
5. Song 50k=2,6m
6. Bartra 40k=2,1m
7. Sandro 2,5k=0,13m

So, for example, even if we get 0+0+0 millions transfer fee for each of these players, we would "get" 23,9 Millions of "income".
If we would sell all these players, we would probably need 2 Cbs.

And if we get 8m for Bartra, and 0 millions for all other players, that is 24m earnings from lower wages+8m from Bartra's transfer fee.
32m in total from these guys.

So, this sum alone would be enough to fund 2 younger Cbs like Umtiti (20m transfer fee+2m wages) and Lemos (10m transfer fee+2m wages).
Money earned on releasing 6 players for free+8m from Bartra=32m Euros
Money spent for transfer fees of Umtiti and Lemos=20+10m
Money spent for wages of Umtiti and Lemos=2+2m roughly

Money earned=32m
Money spent=34m

So, when a player leaves for free, it isn't exactly "leaving for free", since our wage bill is much lower then.
So, even "a bad business" of releasing these 6-7 players could get us 2 young Cbs "for free" again.

Umtiti and Lemos while keeping hold of Mascherano would be fantastic.

I'm quite concerned about the RB position tho. If we don't get anyone, it would mean a lot of time there for Aleix and Sergi. If Sergi plays there, we lose a midfielder. And we're already thin at the middle. Getting Denis wouldn't help either as he's not a b2b type of a guy. We really don't have any other b2b midfielders apart from Sergi and Rakitic.

Yannick Umtiti (brother and agent): "Samuel to Barça? I don't know where this is coming from. We're not talking with Barcelona." [eurosport]
