We should buy a proper Right Back.
I don't trust Vidal and Roberto. Vidal is lackluster defensively and Roberto kinda sucked in the last few games he playerd as RB especially against Valencia at home.. I'm kinda worried that not buying a RB could bite us in our ass and ruin our entire season..

our priorities should be rb/lb and a substitute cf. if masch stays and d. suarez arrives our backline and midfield is covered. but our rb/lb positions are more or less weaker, and we have no real backup for msn. i honestly dont expect more than two signings, excluding d. suarez, i also dont expect a new midfielder or even some major big name signing for those other positions that need to get covered. sadly this transfer window is gonna suck for us.

Tricky, I noticed with you that you have a tendency of over-enjoying in everything regarding our team.

When I have said that I am pissed that Real won a CL.
You said: relax, we won Liga+Cdr (wtf, but ok)
We won our trophies, but they won a CL.
You play football for yourself, but you also need to compete with your arch enemies.
If you think that it is irrelevant for us what Real won, then why are we so pumped up for El Classico matches?
It's just a 3-point match, the same as against Getafe or Levante, right?

I do enjoy in our success, but our succes needs to be measured to some extent with Real's success since they are our arch enemies.
As some said: imagine if Real Madrid gets deleted tomorrow.
Wouldn't football, La Liga, Champions league, and even Barca be weirder and stranger then?
We could enjoy in our team still, but something would be missing...

About our team, you have too much faith and love (imo), for all of our players.
Roberto and Rafinha staganted (for me) in terms that it is clear that they will never be Barca's level of midfield starters.
Unless if we lower our level of quality a lot.

About Neymar, tons of pages were written on his topic.
Go there and read about him whether he was a joke or not this spring.
Lots, but seriously LOTS of fans from this forum thought the same in the last few Months, especially since he had a drop in form for two springs in a row already.

I think that you are giving too much credit to all of our players.

Whether Pogba can fix our problems with motivation?
Our whole core Messi, Iniesta, Busi, Alves, Pique, Masch, Alba won too many trophies with Barca (CLs and world cup with Spain).
Pogba won't heal our team, but it would be a good step forward, and then 2-3-5 new, younger, motivated starters over next 2-3 Seasons.

So, Pogba is not a cure, but neither is Marquinos.
He could help even less.
Pjanic, I won't even comment since he is not a starter material, and we need starters with motivation and fresh blood.

If you asked me whether our team can heal itself without Pogba and new blood? Imo, extremely hard.
We may have one more good season on a CL level (their last atoms of motivation), but they are surely dead on motivation after 2017'.

So, we will need some new world class starters in the next 2-3-4 seasons.
Pogba would be the best first step.

If we buy Marquinos and Pjanic this summer and if a team will have a poor season, what then?
We will need 3 Pogbas in summers 2017 and 2018 then.
And if this one goes to Real or Chelsea now, and since Gundogan is gone, what we will do? Buy new Ardas and Pjanics each summer for the next 5 years?

Could you point me in the direction of all those examples where I over-enjoy our team?

My problem with your posts is mainly your ridiculous hyperbole. There's just no middle way for you. Icarium said it better than I can, and he's spot on - especially in regards to you overdoing your arguments. It's gotten to a point, where I can't take you seriously, which is a shame.

Take your view on Nerman for example. A joke, really? He was one of the best players in the world for around half a season after which his form dropped drastically. This doesn't make him a joke anyway what so ever. Let's go back and look at one of your arguments as to why Halilovic is a shit (or whatever your phrasing was). Apparently he's bad, partially because he was sold rather cheaply. Going by that logic, should Nerman also go on the cheap? No, you know he wouldn't... Because clubs like RM and Paris would make him the most expensive player in the world in a heartbeat, if he chose to leave. He should become more consistent for sure, but writing him off as a joke and making him part of this whole "oh gosh, our team is going down the drain" story you're fabricating is silly at best.

I really don't know why you're dragging the RM rivalry into this debate, as it has nothing to do with it.

Rafinha stagnating? He's barely played for God's sake. He started the season on a very positive note and then got injured. How did he stagnate again? Roberto also hasn't stagnated. If anything, this has been his breakout season. I'm not sure he'll be a bona-fide starter ever, but he could easily go on to have a Pedro like role for us.

Lastly, it seems that you have this notion that I don't want Pogba. I do, and I did back when you were trash talking him. What I don't believe, though, is that he'd be a sole saviour of a team as terrible as you're making ours out to be.

Of course, for example:

Go to his thread.
Huge amount of posters don't agree with you.
You are 200 pages late in that debate.

Let's go back and look at one of your arguments as to why Halilovic is a shit (or whatever your phrasing was). Apparently he's bad, partially because he was sold rather cheaply.

He is shit (your word) because he has a low IQ.
His low price fee from Dinamo to Barca, losing a spot in Gijon, and now losing a spot in Croatian NT team are things which imply (my suspicion) that coaches who work with him are slowly realizing the same.
Insane potential+low IQ=not as good player as he looks on paper

You see, with you and some posters, everything is positive.
Our team is positive and fine.
Our first 11 is fine, we have just won a double (but you forget that we have won it in autumn and winter and lost 10 points in the spring).
Our youngsters are good and fine. They just need time, a right coach and some faith.
Everything is fine, no need to overreact.
Sorry if I am wrong, but I don't remember ever reading bad comments from you about our players.
As if you have 0% of objectivity and some bad remarks/concerns about our players.

Loving a team is one thing.
Saying bad things about some players or something regarding our team doesn't mean that we don't love a team.
But for some, loving a team equals having an unlimited faith in Bartra, La Masia, Halil, everything.

Fine, I do hyperboles, you don't like that.
I don't like some posters for whom everything is fine.

Oh, about Rafinha, I didn't add, I wanted to say: he was never a starter and from everything seen, he is not a starter material for Barca.
He is a squad player.

My problem now is if we buy Pjanic, we will have 2 starters and 4 meh players:
Iniesta+Raki
Arda, Pjanic, Roberto, Rafinha.
While these 4 are ok guys, they are not good to sub Iniesta+Raki, and we are basically just getting depth and not too much quality or improvement with them.
If D. Suarez turns the same as them, we'll have 5 squad players then.
Insane depth, but also a huge lack of quality starters and quality options for a CL level.

So because I don't join the choir of perpetual whiners who feel the need pollute every thread with the same extreme opinions over and over again, I'm too positive about the team? If you knew what you were talking about, you'd know that I've mentioned many times these past months that we need to rejuvenate the squad.

And then you go on to ramble about the need for quality in the midfield when I've just stated that I'd love Pogba here (which you obviously conveniently neglected to acknowledge)...

But yeah, I'm clearly too positive about everything (again with your extreme exaggerations) about our squad because I don't think Neymar is a joke.

Another club can buy him in June, lol. Just need to pay more than the 3.5m option. I really want to know who is the genius behind those clauses. Hilarious.

So if I have understood it correctly, Napoli, as an example, can come and offer 15M for him, and we would have to match that bid to get him?

Since when didn't the opinion of the player himself matter? If Lucho is serious about him, why would he turn us down in favor of the likes of Napoli?

Yep

It seems he's more interested in other offers, than in Barça's. According to Gerard Romero.
