i agree, an actual CB > martinez. but why the fuck does our board have a tendency of buying pseudo-versatile players? martinez is a DM, we shouldn't buy him and consider that we bought a CB. in fact i don't even like martinez as a DM for barca, he was only used well under heynckes, barca won't be able to draw out his full potential and we'll have another 35 mil flop. i think we should keep masch as busquets' backup and buy two ACTUAL central defenders. we do not need martinez.

+1 I am tired of getting players and then playing them out of position. Cesc, Song, Masch, Ibra.....

So it is bad to have flexibility in the squad? We actually lack that, look at Chelsea or Bayern they can move their players the way they like, one player gets injured and it is no problem because he can be changed with 3 versatile ones and we get 1 CB injured and it's a disaster.

Flexibility and versatility is good but if you want versatile players to play at those positions permanently just because they can then its stupid

[Mundo Deportivo] Manchester United, Man City are also interested in signing Cesc Fàbregas this summer. Arsenal have right of first refusal.

Oh hell no, Zubi isn't that smart to find Cesc a replacement.

Another key point which has influenced Barcelona's below-par season has been poor finishing. A few examples: Neymar has scored 14 goals after taking 115 shots, Iniesta has netted three from 54 and Xavi four from 55

Just shows you how woeful our finishing is too. People blame the defence but our attack is hardly firing too. Get a world class number 9 and stick Messi and Neymar behind him with license to roam.

becuase we only have 1 world class CB. most other have 3 + a youth + 1 DM who maybe could play CB if it's necessary.
what do we have?
Puyol is finished, Bartra isn't world class and mash is a DM and now we are arguing about Martinez.
in preseason Pep tried him as CB and it was a disaster.
Last year Martinez was the best DM in the world (or 1 out of 3) and now we want him as CB?

Zubi's official presentation to the Board, regarding the summer transfers and an entire overhaul of the squad, is postponed due to the fear that it might get leaked to the media and affect the entire team. La Liga is still open for the 3 teams.

It's already been affecting Dani Alves for 3 seasons

He wouldn't play every game here and is not technically gifted enough, doesn't fit our style at all. At least Ibra was technically gifted and played every match, look how that turned out.

Say NO to tall physical striker.
