Yes, that's a problem that Lucho needs to see and change. We don't need to loose control and possession but we just can't play this slow. Actually we can, it's not like we played super fast for 90 mins in golden era (2009 for example) but we were like bees, control, slow, move around and than deadly sting. Now it's just move around slowly without penetration. Of course Alexis looks 10x better with Chile, he is always playin 1 vs 2,3,4 in Barca. Except totall magicians like Iniesta and Messi no player on Earth can win in those situations, or at least he will loose in 9 out of 10 times.
Problem is also in some players: Xavi plays 10 touch football this days, not half touch, he plays only safe passes and offers nothing in defence. That needs to change. Problem is in Messi as well if he is going to walk all the time. He is our main player and he doesn't need to run as much as the rest. He spearheads our attacks and he can be carried a bit in defence, but said in numbers: if everyone runs from 10-12km he's average needs to be 8-9km, 6.5km is rude not to say more. All our players becomed slaves of passing, and when it's slow you have tactical problems. This is why Barca scores so little "easy" goals, we always need some magical touch to create something, and our oppositon alwasy looks like they have amaizing day against us.
Spain is now in the same trap, and VDB is not addresing the issue as well (for now at least). Seeing yesterday line up, without any wide players, fast movers, you could guess how they'll play.
Well we could go on and on about tactical issues, but theme here is transfers so let's stick to the subject
