Benjamin Šeško

His goalscoring hasn't caught up yet, but he looks so much better than Gyokeres on eye test alone. Pretty much my dream transfer next summer.

Reportedly doesn't have a clause but a gentleman agreement with Leipzig (when he renewed last summer) they will let him go for around 70m.

Pretty sure he has his eyes on the EPL move though. Could be already going there this month.

And like it or not Robbie will be here until 2026 so I don't see us spending big on a striker before. Šeško and Gyokeres will be in new clubs by then and Isak too expensive so no idea what we'll do then. Well, I know what I would do but don't think many would agree with me, lol.

I don't think it is a sure thing he is moving this year tbh, he is young and he isn't really that ready for a big club atm, he will be a risk for whoever buys him. If he builds on his stock, next year he will have bigger chances of a big move.
Manu & Arsenal are the most desperate for a no9, but with Gyökeres and Osimhan available I don't get why they would go for another striker who aren't a sure fire 20 goals per season. Same for Liverpool btw, atm he isn't a sure upgrade over Darwin.

That's true, Šeško is taking things slowly and smart like Haaland did. He's taking similar steps in his career and could see him staying another season at Leipzig unless he explodes in the second part of the season. He's still improving and learning, I don't think he's totally ready for a big club already. He'll have offers to move but could see him chosing otherwise.

He's a Madrid fan though but that usually doesn't matter.

Modrić was a Barca fan, but we know how that went...

If one of the 2 Spanish giants comes calling, you don't think too much. Unless you are an ultra of the other club.

Well, Leipzig just tried to loan Okafor from Milan with an option to buy at the end of season. The deal fell through due to the medical exam, but I see this as a clear indication that Šeško is moving in the summer.

Barca should monitor the situation. The clear favourite at the moment to sign him is Arsenal, but I doubt that we even tried to contact his agent yet.

Just as I said that the rumours died down, they picked up, at least in Slovenian media.

According to reports, Arsenal is still the favourite to sign him in the summer, however apparently AC Milan and us are also very interested.

Arsenal are in for Vlahovic this window. If it happens, it takes them out of the race.

Which is good for us on the Šeško front as it prevents potential bidding war between us and Arsenal.

Also, Dani Olmo could play a part in convincing him to join.

if we decide to go for him, he's ours. There is no way Arsenal is beating us to a player.

Unless his name is Martin Zubimendi.

The problem is that I don't think we'll go for him. He's not a big name but would cost a lot, we have the tractor to pay next season, he's not some marketable name, he's from a small country... We usually don't sign this kind of players. Sure Laporta would dreams about Haaland and will rather try with him in 2026 (hope not).

If we clear cap space with getting rid of FDJ and Fati, salaries shouldn't be a problem. That space should be enough for a striker, a winger, a fullback and Tah. He would cost 65-70 million, which is basically the same as Nico Williams. The problem is that if we decide to go for him, we can find ourselves in the middle of a bidding war, which is worst case scenario as our budget is limited.

My point is, if we want him, we should start working on it. If Arsenal is indeed getting Vlahović, that's our chance.
