This summer is ideal time to sign him or Gyokeres if we want to (it's impossible to get Isak). Get him, split his playing time with Lewa and ease him in during 2025-2026.

If we just stick with Lewa for one more season, I'm afraid that we will scramble for a starting striker during the summer of 2026 and who knows what options we will have (assuming that Šeško and Gyokeres will either be at new clubs or sign new contracts).

Gyökeres is 100% being sold next summer, at 27 waiting more years in Portugal will depreciate his value, he will have buyers.

Regarding Sesko, again, I see a World where he is staying another year in Germany tbh. He is 21 (22 in summer) so another solid year could increase his value and prepare him more for the big clubs.

There will be always another guy appearing on the scene, heck, we can redo the Lewa deal and go for Kane.

The most important question remains: How much are RB going to sell for?

A player like Gyökeres is valued around 70M and unlikely to ask for much bigger salary. Is Sesko valued below 50M next summer? If so, I can get the logic behind getting him next summer.

If not, he is sold for the potential, and honestly, I would prefer waiting

Tab xG then exclude penalties if you want to look at a player finishing in statistical way.
He overperform his xG at club level and underperformed in NT.

So, we can assume he is good finisher.

However, his xG is actually really really low in a concerning way too. Players like Osimhan, David or Lautaro don't look good finishers using this method, but they get way more into scoring spots. This suggests that Sesko isn't natural in this.
Having high xG is a good indication of a top striker, all the top strikers have this characteristic. Even when they are at relatively bad teams.

Finishing is only one part of scoring goals, but the xG can reflect their movement, physicality and intelligence.

If his xG is low in Bundesliga that is a reason to be concerned about signing him. To be honest, I don't rate him that highly, he seems like a track star but he isn't a top footballer. We need a striker who is elite in all aspects of the game.

I'd rather buy Gyokeres, because I think he is more our needed level, but Sesko could be a beast, but he is not yet Barca ready. He would be like a second striker, so I don't love it. Meaning, if Gyokeres is ever ready, he is now. Sesko will need some time. Maybe next season or season after that.

Can he grow into a #1 striker as a backup? Not sure. It's not easy position for players in general.

Of course, it would be a bit of risky move with good upside.

I heard it somewhere or read it.
That a good striker should always outperform his xG in goals. Sesko seems to be doing pretty well in that regard.

But his low xG is a bit concerning, though it might be because of @Messi983 said.
He also underperforms his xG when in the NT.

I'd rather not be the team that gambles on Gyokeres for 75-100m tbh.
Record of strikers in Portugal scares me, and if he flops we're essentially fucked.

I think his price is 75 mil I think. He has outclause for a lower clause. 100mil wouldn't touch.

That's why he is also more attractive option than Isaak from Newcastle, who would cost Dembele amount.. Meaning way too much for us. 125mil+. Newcastle isn't selling club. They have no pressure to sell. Good luck.

Would rather get a striker from Bundesliga than Portuguese cheaters league. Also Sesko 5 years younger and not a one season wonder.

Gyokeres has flop written all over him… looks terrible on the ball if you ask me.

My preference is Isak then Sesko... after that probably just continue with Lewy/Ferran

Lewy staying another season leads me to believe they could have more interest for Sesko than Gyokeres.

Sesko as a backup for the next season. Growing. Then starter after Lewy leaves. He has upside but it's more of a risk but could work out.
