I hear this kid is quite good! Great for Dortmund. Has anyone here that has seen him play have any opinions on his style being integrated into BVB?

Played well against his first European defense. Hopefully he gets more minutes into the France game and Confederations Cup. I would also like to see him beat his man, but nice dangerous pass he gave.

imo he is a amazing player, and imo after neymar the best 21yo player.
Watched him alot a mineiro, and afaik hes doing good at shaktar.
he gave 4 assists in the last game.

I fear for his career. Really poor game from him. He might just be one of those average Brazilian players now.

I hope this game doesn't shatter his career. Also, it was very strange that Scolari played him instead of Willian. All of the soccer shows I watch predicted that Willian would be in the starting lineup.

He should never have been part of this WC.

Scolari chose him over Lucas Moura for no other reason than personal preference. Lucas had a way, way, way better season.

Since the middle of the confed cup, Scolari started ignoring Lucas in favor of bernard for no reason.

Serve him well. Lucas is not the best footballer around, but way better than bernard could ever be.

He warmed the bench for Shakhtar if im not wrong and that's because he is simply not good enough. Sad since he looked like a quite a good prospect, but he still got time on his hand and will improve if he gets to play regulary, but I doubt he'll be that good even then.

That's what i said many times here. How could Scolari pick him over Lucas or even other targets?

Bernard almost didn't play at all because he couldn't even win a place in his club.

As medias said here, they don't understand. There's no logical reason behind it. It's just scolari liking him a lot. But that's not how you build a team to win a WC.

Pretty much. He chooses players he likes, not based on form. Or Fred, Jo and others wouldn't be there.
